Van runs good while you are going down the street if you stop and start repeatedly then it stalls and will not keep running in drive but will continue to run in reverse
Could have faulty transmission torque converter clutch solenoid or internal transmission mechanical failure.

try haviing your alternator checked advance auto parts can check it while its on the car and the can check the battery too. if thats not it it may stall due to a loose battery connection or a loose ground strap. if it stalls and everything turns of (electrical) it may be a connection or ground strap.

Have your engine mounts checked. I was experiencing the same type if things, and it turned out all 5 were cracked! (I also have the 1995).

If vehicle was left outside or in an unheated garage, there is a strong possibility that condensation has contaminated your fuel. Easiest way to check is to remove fuel filter and pour contents into a glass jar. If you see two different layers of liquid in the jar, the bottom part is water. Replace with new filter and drop the tank. Remove sending unit. pour contents into a large container and clean out inside with clean dry rags. Remember, fuel is dangerous to work with and fumes travel pretty far on the ground. So, no open flames electrical stuff, cigarettes etc for a good perimeter around work area. Generally, you can re-use top 3/4 of fuel you removed by syphon. Don't use remainder in your vehicle. Part can be used for lawnmower etc as long as you only take the part above the water line.

Then i think i'd be dumping some soapy water on the intake gaskets checking for leaks. ANd wiggle the **** out of all vacuum hoses. ( you probably did that) And if there aren't any, your cam could be tired. You got a tough one there. Hard to figure with a keyboard.

I believe there can be a problem with the ignition coil or maybe the fuel injectors or lastly the catalytic converter I have the same problem with my 2004 Nissan car so my mechanic change all of these parts
