Maintenance Required light came on & stayed on after oil change

I had the oil changed on my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser on Monday March 30 after the Maintenance Required light flashed on & off a few times when I started the vehicle. The MR light continued to flash on-off when I started the vehicle after the oil change but I thought I could ignore it. However when I was driving to work this morning the MR light came on and stayed on. Does this mean I have a real problem - should I check the oil before I start the vehicle again? Is it possible that it will reset itself when I start the vehicle again? I love this vehicle but I get really annoyed with problems like this. Any suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I get many calls a week for this procedure...
This is really easy! Follow these directions:

Turn the key ON

Look at the odometer, and verify that it displays "ODO" and the total mileage traveled. If it is on "Trip A" or "Trip B", press the black stick next to the odometer to read "ODO", and the total miles traveled.

Turn the key OFF.

Press in, and HOLD the black trip meter reset button, hold it in.
DO not release it.

Turn the key ON

Observe the Odometer display. The total mileage traveled will disappear, and you will see 5 dashes, then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 dash, and finally, 5 zeros. Then, the total mileage traveled will redisplay.

Release the black trip meter reset stick.

This completes the reset procedure, and it will be back on in 5,000 miles, to remind you of you next oil change.
If you do NOT see the dashes, followed by the 5 zeros, start the entire procedure again, but start with the odometer set to TRIP "A". Some vehicles use Trip A instead of the ODO.

You do NOT START the vehicle at any time during the reset procedure.
If the engine starts, the procedure will not reset.

There is a plastic oval cover that you pry off, and then the plug is right there (the cover is located in the black steel plate toward the rear of the engine) dont forget to change the oil filter too, if your not sure what to do take it to a shop the first time and then you can see how to do it. hop thei wll help you.

On my fj cruiser there's a light saying "matenice needed" and i change the oil about a week ago and the light won't go off

READ YOUR OWNERS MANUEL, YOU HAVE TO RESET THE LIGHT WHEN YOU CHANGE THE OIL. IT DOES NOT DO IT BY ITS SELF. ITS NOT HARD JUST READ

Shaking with engine light and VSC Off lights turned on

If just found this on another forum:

A few days ago I started the Cruiser and had 4 indicators stay lit.
They were the CHECK ENGINE...SLIP INDICATOR..VSC TRAC..VSC OFF.
Didnt noticed any change in driving and 4-wheel drive is still working.
I removed the negative cable from the battery and the same indicator lights have NOT come back. Everything is back to normal as far as warning lights go. Should I take it in to the service center and have it checked.
Or should I wait to take it in, if it does it again?
