After haveing my 2007 Totota camry oil change, the maintanance required light came on after driving it one mile home. The nex two days the light did not come on. I figured it had to reset itself after the oil change. Well, on the third day, on my way to work the light came on again and this time stayed on for 23 miles. I will try the solution this afternoon or when it happens again. After haveing my 2007 Totota camry oil change, the maintanance required light came on after driving it one mile home. The fuse box is located under the instrument panel (on the driver's side), under the cover. The location of the fuses in the passenger compartment: Toyota Camry ... Daytime running Lights are a function of the Body control Module.
you can go to your local auto parts store and they can scan your car for the reason the light is on and clear the code, but until you fix the problem the light will return.
Youll need a oil change that is a oil change light it is proper for maintance and the life of the engine and be sure to reset it. just for laughs here is how to reset it. push odo till "A" odo appears turn key to off while you hold odo reset, at the same time turn key on to ACC position (engine not running) hold and youll see oil life flash and blink when the line disapears its done and it is reseted
Generally this its one warning to the time mantenance is END, and need change fluids and other components. If the CHECK ENGINE turn on, need scanned the PCM to know any fault code there.
It's the new age of car design. As
building tolerances become greater, engine/drivetrains become more
efficient, and lubricants (ie synthetics) improve in wear properties,
maintanance has been greatly extended on modern cars. Just follow your
maintanance schedules (mostly oil and filters) and you'll be fine.
If the dealer/mechanic did the service early the light will come on when service is DUE. Go back to him and have it turned off. Search the web someone may have the procedure posted. Usually simple. Google "Toyota service light reset" or "Toyota Maintence light reset" Try this one
With the car started (ignition on), set the LCD odometer readout to total mileage (not trip A or B).
Turn the car off (ignition key to the OFF position).
Push in AND HOLD the button/knob that switches the odometer
Turn key to ON position without starting the car. You will notice the maintenance light blink and go out.
Release the odometer button/knob.
Turn key to OFF position.
That's it! The "MAINT REQD" light has been reset to warn you to change your oil in another 5,000 or 7,500 miles or so.
This works for a Honda, maybe it will work for your Toyota. (1) Insert your ingition key, (2) press and hold the trip odometer button, (3) move switch to on position just prior to start position (where your warning lights are displayed), (4) hold for 10 seconds.
