2005 Saturn Vue AWD 67,000miles. Between 25 and 40 mph everytime it shifts in to the higher gear, the rpm's will tend to go up and down 200-300rpm's just when you try to keep an constant speed. I did experince shudder when turning twice in last month.

The 1-2 shift solenoid valve on a Saturn Vue 3.6 is typically located in the transmission. The exact location of the solenoid valve can vary depending on the year and model of the vehicle, but it is commonly found inside the transmission's valve body. The valve body is the area of the transmission that houses the shift valves and controls the flow of transmission fluid to control the gear shifts.
It's important to note that accessing and replacing a shift solenoid valve on a transmission can be a difficult and complex task that requires special tools and knowledge. It is not recommended to attempt this repair unless you have experience working on transmissions and have the proper tools and equipment. It's also important to consult the Saturn Vue 3.6 service manual or a professional mechanic or transmission specialist to have the proper steps and safety procedures to follow.

First the output shaft/speed sensor is bad. Find it and replace it first. (it is on the outside of the transmission) This may correct your problem. But 4500 RPM at 20 MPH is not limp mode.
i own a 2003 vue. it happened to me and finally the tranny went. it was a sealed transmission(cvt)do you have a dipstick to check your transmission fluid.if you dont, get saturn to look at it.a new one is 6000.00.Just hope you have a warranty.
Hi all,
I currently own a 2005 saturn vue and also a 2002 saturn vue. My 2005 began making the same whistling sound around 36000 miles, I let it go and let it go. Finally it got so bad I could not deal with it any longer, I have a great mechanic and he automatically point out the carrier bareing I had it replaced and my car is very very peaceful...... :) Hope this helps.
I had the same problem with my 2004 VUE 2wd. There were also some electrical issues like the turn signals randomly not working. I replaced the battery and now the tranny shifts smoothly and the acceleration is much improved. Also, no more electrical problems.
