It is possible the fuel tank pressure sensor has become faulty. Is that the solenoid you replaced? This article explains it very well

SOURCE: How do I reset the

If you disconnect your battery for 5-10 minutes this will most likely reset it. If it comes back on again, however, your computer is probably receiving a trouble code of some sort, and it would be worthwhile to bring it in to have the code read.

SOURCE: check engine light went on because someone stole my gas cap

Theres two ways you could fix this issue. Disconnect the battery, let it sit for about ten minutes, or you can go to advanced auto parts, have them scan the car, and clear the code. Just tell them the CEL is on and they'll hook up the scan tool, then just ask them to clear it. That should solve the light problem in your car.

SOURCE: 2002 Toyota Echo Check Engine

You should get the problem code ran at a shop or auto parts store. My moms 2003 Toyota Echo check engine light came on and it had a slight misfire, I replaced all the sparkplugs about $20 and no check light.

Hope this was helpful

SOURCE: Camry 2002 Engine light comes on exactly at half

I'm pretty sure 440 is an evaporation malfunction code. The cheapest cause is usually the fuel cap. However, there are evap solenoids that go bad over time. I believe there are three of them at around $50.00 each. Also check the connections where they plug in as they may have become loose or corroded.

What does code 440 mean on a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu

P0440 - is a large EVAP leak. The EVAP system stores fuel vapor from the fuel tank and then delivers it into the engine under certain condition. The EVAP system basically consists of a purge solenoid, vent solenoid, charcoal canister, fuel tank and a fuel tank pressure sensor.

There are two common causes for this code. One is the fuel cap, make sure it is tight. Also check the filler knock where the gas caps seals to see if there is an excessive amount of rust build up which can also cause this code.

The other is the vent solenoid. If it sticks open the system will not be able to go into a vacuum mode. The vent solenoid is usually tucked up in the quarter panel on the drivers side right behind the tire.

A scan can tool is usually needed to monitor data and activate solenoids.

Check engine light on my Ford escape.

I would say, check the plug of the EGR. Check for holes in the gas filler tube, top of the tank or in the vacuum lines that run to the purge canister. You can also check for information on the purge solenoid.
A bad gas cap can cause this too.

You should be getting a code when the CEL comes on. You need to get a code reader to see what code it projects. This will give you a starting point to research the problem. Keep in mind the code may reference a cylinder misfire, but that does not necessarily mean it is a bad plug. Many items come into play here. There are lots of sensors that work together and when one goes out it causes other sensors to throw codes.

Hyundai error report P0441 when check engine light comes on. Is this something covered under warranty at dealer, or should I have an independent mechanic look at it? Also, door latch that opens the gas...

yes this is a warranty item as it relates to the emission purge system ( pressure test for gas tank ). but before you go make sure your gas cap is tight (3 clicks) sometimes after getting fuel a loose gas cap will trip the purge solenoid valve to think there is a leak.

Toyota seinna po440, po441, po446

you have to understand that there is a leak in the system other than the gas cap for the evaporative system. The system needs to be professionally closed, and smoke introduced into to find the leak, and a through component check, eg.. purge valve vapor canister vent solenoid all functioning correctly
