2005 Saturn Vue Redline makes intermittent roaring noise underneath when going steady highway speeds.

Just bought this Saturn used with 103 K and it did not make this noise during test drive or for the first two weeks. Now, when driving highway speeds, 50 -70 mph, there is a roaring, almost revving noise underneath. It only lasts a couple of seconds but does repeat intermittently. I have a b2b for 3,000 miles so any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks.

Additionally, the noise I get happens even though I am using Cruise Control and definitely sounds like an engine roaring or revving. Any help is appreciated.

If it is a manual transmission, sounds like the front clutch plate.

we have a 2003 saturn vue which we installed new tires on and we noticed a noise about 6 months afterwards. it sounded to my wife and i to be loud road noise from the tires. the car was driven for 6 months and we decided the noise was annoing. had the tires checked only to find it was the left front wheel bearing which was replaced and stopped the noise.

You have a misconnect in the headlight wiring somewhere. Possibly at a connector or in the switch.

My 2005 saturn vue engine shuts off whenever I turn the a/c or heater on. The only time it stays on is when I am on the freeway.

this could be caused by an improperly working idle control motor that can`t control the idle speed or low speed driving condition where on the highway this control is not used as the speed is higher and doesn`t require control.

Rumbling noise on a low speed between 25-40 miles

Does it sound like an exhaust pipe hitting the floor, or is it a different sound?
