When I lock the doors iwth the button, the door locks start grinding, and they won't shut off. I have to wiggle the locks to get them to finally stop. Last night, they were grinding, and it run my battery down. I didn't know it was still going. Can I pull the unlock and lock fuses to just lock and unlock my door manually?

Hi Jerry,
There is a fuse panel behind the console kick panel on the passenger side. Pull the panel off (velcro stays). The legend and fuse layout is embossed on the back of the panel.
A couple other things you might try though. Underneath the front seats are sensors that normally tell the brain someone is sitting in them. Look under the seats for a plug with two wires coming out of it. Pull the plug. Any difference?
Does the the belt shuttle move at all? Is it stripped? If so, you might try helping it along to the other end of the track. It may shut down on its own that way.
And last but not least, as a temporary solution, pull the negative terminal from the battery over night until it gets fixed for real.

One of your door lock inside switches are bad.Find the one that doesn't feel right when you push it in either lock or unlock.The internal spring is broke causing the lock relay to keep try to lock or unlock until it gets hot & protects.

There is no other release for the door. The key fob is all there is. GM has a bulliten on the issue and your dealer will have to fix it. The bulliten number is PIT4436. Give the dealer this number and they can look it up and repair it. Good Luck

Use WD-40 or similar penetrating spray & use the little red nozzle & get in behind & down sides as much as you can at door latch assy on doors. You may even find a slot right by the latch that you can stick nozzle in to spray all over. On front doors with key slots, push nozzle into key slot as far as you can & spray good while pulling nozzle out slow. Keep working them by hand at afirt until you feel them get a little easier, then start hitting power button up/down a few times & keep working it until they free up. If/when you've got them working again, spray same way, only with some "white lithium spray grease" to keep them lubricated after. I've had to resort to removing door panels to get at seized linkages in there before, but quite often, this will work. Keep me posted on results.

Mine did this too. It's a bad door lock switch. Just use a flat tip screw driver, pop them out, and replace them with new ones. They are cheap and your problem will go away.
