When I lift hood you can feel the heat and the dip stick is so hot when checking oil. All my gages are normal it just seems like the engine shouldnt be that hot, I thought maybe the raditor needed flushed and just got that done but its still hot.
Your dipstick is supposed to be hot. The oil runs over the hot mechanisms and back into the pan and cooler oil cycles through again. The warmer your engine the better it will run. ( don't want it to overheat though) my car runs about halfway between the middle and three fourths mark on the thermostat. And it runs great. Hope this helps!:)
Thanks, just wanted to be sure, love that car and want it to run right.
No problem and glad to help:) I have a 95 eclipse GSX that I adore greatly as well:)
I am having the same issue but my dipstick will burn your hand and when you pull the dipstick out to check the oil you will see blue smoke like it is burning oil
Why would my dip stick be burned on the top part of it it’s plastic but the engine was very hot an the car stopped in middle rd while I was turning around an had put water in radiator.I had let my car sit a while before trying start it it started but wasn’t getting enough power to even drive it home

SOURCE: I can't locate the transmission fluid dip stick for 2003 Grandam
Your transmission is sealed and has no dip stick, checking the fluid level properly involves using a factory scan tool.

hey
Have you had done or done any electrical work lately?
It would appear that yes, either the daytime running light relay, or an
auto-shut off relay is confused and it energizing when it is not supposed
to.
i suggest to Take it to the
dealer, they will know what to do.
other thing that can be possible is:electrial schematics and
trace the control system for the lights. Most likely, if you have done electrial
work, then it is a crossed wire. If not, then either a bad relay, or bad
computer module is at fault
SOURCE: i cant find the transmission dip stick
While looking at the motor from the front, in the middle all the way to the back, near the windshield. It has a red o-ring handle
SOURCE: Our change oil lite is on. We JUST had it changed.
turn your vehicle on so not start it then push the accelerator to the floor three times not fast about a second between press of accelerator the start your vehile. the lamp will blink rapidly then go away untill next service is needed. p.s. oil changes at most are 5,000 miles not 10,000 miles.
SOURCE: Engine Coolant leaks.
Before anything else, you need to locate the source of the leak and repair it. Then after that's done, re-fill the system and watch for problems. I suggest you do this sooner than later as running with air in the system can damage components by creating "hot'spots" that can crack head etc or cause warpage and head gasket failure.
