I fitted plugs on nissan tiida 1.6 and now the car rpm is up and down
My sensor light stays on and the car idles very ruff, what can it be
You all need to have the OBD read to get fault code

Check to see that the air meter hose that goes to the throttle body is in good condition and not cracked or torn, If you are getting unmetered air it will cause the surge condition. If you have had a tuneup lately, part of that is taking the hose off to get to the filter...

Jeff did you figure this out. I am dealing with the exact same thing currently. Things to look at are Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF), Throttle position Sensor (TPS), Air Idle control valve. I have played with everything but the Air control valve. I tried three different MAF, including a ghost sensor (circuit to match ressitance). I'm going to investigate the air idle control tommorrow.
