The engine light keeps coming on. The sensor was changed, but the light is on again. It has been in the shop more than we have had it. We bought it new so we wouldn't have problems! We are told that the light could indicate 1 of 10000 problems. Can you help us?

More time would be spent getting the car in the air on lift or jacked high enough for you to get at the sensor, unplug the sensor and remove and replace 20 mins tops....
Take to a local repair shop that has been in some place for 25 years
That is not something you can to yourself
The codes are used to diagnose the faults
I would suggest you never use a Jiffy lube or other quick lube places, they could ruin your vehicle & all of them have for decades ,been subject to many fraud investigations
You have a wheel sensor failed. Likely on the left rear. I have an 08 Saturn Vue and mine has failed repeatedly. First time Jan 09, then again Jan 10.. and once again in Jan 11. Finally dealt with GM Customer Service, as dealer just keeps replacing the sensor. They claim corrosion. GM CS told them to investigate further, so they replaced a connector and sensor this time. Not holding my breath. Thank god for warranty. Will probably end up getting rid of the car.
Yes. Wheel speed sensor. I have an 08 Vue. Same problem happens every year. They say its a corroded wheel speed sensor. Happens every January, always on the left rear. Think they have a design flaw, but GM doesn't appear to agree with me.
It could be anything. Take the vehicle to Auto Zone and ask them to connect a code reader to the vehicle. That will tell you what the fault is. The most common issue is the Oxygen Sensor.
curious to know if you got this solved. Guessing downstream o2 sensor. did your vue idle high? act like it was getting too much gas? Let me know please.
