The coolant temperature sensor is a thermistor mounted in the engine
coolant stream. A thermistor is an electrical device that varies its
resistance in relation to changes in temperature.
For 2.5L engines, the coolant temperature sensor is located on the left side of the cylinder head.
For
MFI engines, the coolant temperature sensor is located on the intake
manifold water jacket or near (or on) the thermostat housing.

According with the 1994 Buick Regal 3.8L SFI OHV 6cyl
Repair Manual, the Coolant Temperature Sensor is located under hood, driver side, rear engine area, mounted on rear of intake manifold.

Thank you For answering. Is this the the same for the 3.8L ??
Its Below the Radiator Cap a little gray box with a plug and 2 wires hopefully some time's it get's old and need's to be replaced some time's the wire is loose or bad connection also the sensor get's dirty and causes light to come on check those and goos luck..
