The sensor for the lights is in the door latch spray some GOOD penetrant in the door latch (WD 40 IS NOT A PENETRATING OIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) open and shut the door several times after you let the penetrant soak a bit Liquid wrench, PB Blaster, BG Penetrant, are good

You probably have a bad door switch that is located in the door latch. If the vehicle tells you which door is ajar I would try a good penetrating oil first and if not replace that door latch. It will take a bit of working the latch before it will start to work if thats all it is so have some patients with it.
Find the lamp push button on each door.
Open one door, and only one door (or tailgate).
Push the lamp button IN at that door. If light goes out, then that particular push switch needs adjustment or replacement.
Cl;ose door and open another door. Push button IN.
Keep doing this until you find faulty door push button.
Take some WD40 and open the doors and spray a liberal amount into each of the door latches. Then open and close the doors firmly several times. This will work most of the time to unstick the ajar switches.
You have a door ajar switch sticking in one of the doors. Start with the drivers door, open door and spray a liberal amount of WD40 into the latch on the side of the door. Then open and close the doors firmly several times. This usually unsticks them.
The door switches are built in the latches on each of the doors, they are pron to sticking, leaving the security module to beleive the door is open.
The simple fix is to spray a generous amount of WD40 on, in, and around the door latches, then opening and closing the door a few times. I would start with the passenger door as`this is likely the culprit. do the rest of the latches as a prevenitive measure.
you have either the thumb wheel switch beside the headlamp switch is turned all the way up or a sticking door ajar switch.
Does the door ajar light in instrument cluster stay on?
If so then you can shoot some WD-40 into the latches on the side of the doors then open and close them firmly a few times and this will usually unstick them.
you may have your dim switch on and this cause the lights to stay on but they don't stay on all night or day they have a 10 minutes delay switch after 10 minutes they go off but yes there is an open circuit can be a door can be the trunk or the dim switch look for it and try to find the source of this open circuit like a mention before it's on the doors or the dim switch
I have the same problem with my passenger door all the time. The dealer was nice and didn't charge me for some advice. Find out which door it is or do this to all. It is the part on the door the grabs the round thing in the door jam. It looks like two fingers kinda. Spray with WD-40 and clean with a rag to get all the dirt out of there. Spray again and open and close the door several times. This clears my problem and I hope this helps you too.
