Will defective vaccum hoses on front axle effect the way the engine runs on a 2000 kia sportage?
Vacuum leaks work like this. A small hose breaks, you don't notice a engine problem, but the gas mileage goes down a bit. As the leak progresses, mileage goes down more. A large leak you notice the engine runs rough at idle. Combine this with clogged air, fuel filters and clogged catalytic converters and it will start killing the engine at stops and eventually go down the road. But to answer your question, No the line going to the diff, wont affect the engine performance. Because the PCM will compensate for the small leak. More fuel.

Blower motor speed not working
This is usually due to 1 of 3 possible problems.
- Bad blower motor resistor - attaches to blower motor and regulates fan speeds. Not uncommon to lose 1 speed at a time until you get stuck with only 1 speed
- Bad blower motor
- Bad heater control module - less likely but still possible the module is bad and the whole unit requires replacing

Kia won't start turn over
I would take the starter off and get it tested. Also check the switch to starter cable,be sure it`s getting a good connection.

My 2000 kia sportage is
it sounds like the problem is the pump itself.you will probably have to have the pump replaced to correct the problem.this is how a bad pump acts when its worn out and needs replacing.replace the fuel filter at the same time

No power to fuel pump on 2000 kia sportage
The only way is to trace the wiring to hunt down that short. Just ck the wiring every few feet until u narrow it down to see where your losing your ignition power. Good luck

2000 KIA sportage 140,000+ miles. Fix it or Donate?
I had same dilemma with my car I knew I wouldn't get much for it I checked online to donate it. You get a $500 dollar tax write off which is worth it because I tried to sell it and only got $300 for it.

How do I replace starter solenoid 2000 kia sportage
at the right side of the vehicle under the battery there is the starter bolted by three screws you need to get under the vehicle to loose the screws use a 14mm socket and wrench to get the bolt loose it takes a bit of maneuvering to get it out of the tight space but it is possible and simply reverse to get the new one in remember to disconnect the battery and the lines to the starter before starting to work

I have a 1999 Kia Sportage 2.0 Engine.I have done
The napa gold filter which is a wix filter is the best on the market, but even if oil would not go through the filter you would still have oil pressure. If the oil level is correct and the oil light is off when the engine is running, your oil change should not have affected the engine.
There is a recall for certain 2,0 hyundai/Kia engines because of "knocking" due to metal shavings left in the crankshaft oiling holes during manufacturing, you may be able to get a free new engine from the dealer if your engine is on their list.

Winding down noise when stopping and big jolt when I do!
Dear Sweetallday5,
Without seeing the car, and being able to hear and look at it underneath, anything we can do is guess.
Now, here is a really good guess.
Do not drive the can one more mile, not even to a repair shop.
Have it towed.
Otherwise, you stand the risk of having it quit on you in the middle of the street, or even wreck whilst you are driving it.
As far as being worth it to fix, only an honest mechanic can tell you that.
God bless your efforts.
