First you should check the vehicle handbook and ensure the immobiliser is being disarmed. When you have satisfied yourself to this it would perhaps be wise to check the fuses before moving on to more in depth checks.

you have a problem with the electrics it could be a bad round or the live terminal lead to the battery, it could be shorting to ground this would damage the alternator and the battery. you would need to test the wires from the alternator B+ to the live on the battery and the earth from the alternator grounding bolts to the shell then check the live to negative with the battery off. a short in the circuit will just keep damaging the system.

If you just replaceD the engine in your 2005 Kia Spectra, was the replacement engine a good one? It sounds to me like it's a starter or starter solenoid issue! Try "hot-wiring" the starter solenoid, to see if the engine cranks. All security systems are "low level" in terms of current control. But a DIRECT connection from a good battery to the starter solenoid should engage it, which should complete the circuit from the battery to the starter motor.

Dear Eojamio, First, call you local Kia dealer and ask them. I checked and I found there is no oil temperature sensor on your car. There is a oil pressure sensor. There is also a coolant temperature sensor. Any Kia dealer should tell you 1) what the code means, and 2) where the sensors are located. Know that you may not be able to see them, even with a flashlight, as they are often "buried" in spaces around the engine compartment. God bless your efforts.

may have blocked heater matrix try back flushing with hospipe remove both hoses going to the heater and flush out both ways the other issue could be a dist flap stuck or servo motor problem try flushing first if no good remove facsia panels around heater unit check wiring/connectors on servos give the motors a tap with a screwdriver handle or similar which may release the stuck/jammed flap or motor
