Electrical problem maybe
I have seen cars with lights full of rainwater. Check all lights for evidence of getting wet, dirt may be inside. Once you find a suspect, unplug it and go through a carwash. Once you are sure, change the light fixture.
ANTI THEFT SYSTEM
Hook up your battery charger, turn the key to the on position for like an hour or two to relearn the key. I have seen this take up to three or four hours (hence the need for a battery charger) if still doesn't work check the purple wire from the ignition switch (prob should check this first) it's the key transponder wire, may have gotten damaged by the a-hole who tried to thieve your car! If these things are ok and the key wont program you'll have to get a new key made (locksmith cheaper than dealer usually)
Vacuum hose diagram
mostly down to the distributor but if you have no distributor then an actuator that is controlled by vacuum
I have a 2000 Saturn sl 1.9L sohc. My cooling fan
first, is/was the temp guage showing over heating? If so you should have checked/ replaced the fan temperature switch on the radiator ( or follow the fan wiring to it's location) depending on air temp, and driving conditions, the motor may not need the fan. If it's not, cover the rad with something{paper, plastic} until the guage begins to show overheat condition, then the fan should start. # DO NOT LET IT GET INTO THE RED ZONE! If you keep the reservoir closed, the radiator will **** up the coolant after warming/running, and a cool down.
NEED IGNITION SWITCH , HOUSING, TUMBLER AND KEY
