you found the fuse box right?

There will be a diagram on the back side of the fuse box cover. Use it to identify which fuse belongs to the sound system.

If you don't know where the fuse box is, let me know.

If you still can't figure out the right fuse, give me the options that are in the box and I will let you know which one it is. thanks

run fault codes to check for injector or wiring . Have a compression test done to check that the head job was done properly.

I am not a mechanic and have had no problems with my 2005 Ion-2 but at msn/autos I see that these can exhibit a starting problem because of the ignition switch which they recommend replacing. The part is around $40 & the labor is 1 hr.

It senses the position of the camshaft to know when each cylinder is at top dead center to calculate when to give a spark. The engine will not run and the coil will not fire without this module

The passlock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. These need to be checked:Confirm the latest ignition switch is installed per TSB 04-08-45-005D. 2. Check the BCM PWR fuse. 3. If ok, check all of the door lock and unlock circuits for shorts to ground. 4. If ok, the Body Control Module (BCM) is defective.

We cut the white wire on my son's 2005 ION and followed a youtube video. He said to remove the airbag fuse first. After we cut the wire and put the airbag fuse in, now the airbag light is on. I can't get it fixed for beans. So now he has a security light and airbag light on. He has been in several accidents and the airbags never came out anyway so I guess he will have to drive that way. It did start last night no problem in 30 degree temperature!

Anti theft system has gone defective. You can try using your spare key if you have one, Turn the key to the "run" position and leave it set for 10 minutes or so, shut it off and see if the light goes away, if it does, make arrangements with a good mechanic/technician to bypass the security, if it doesn't you're probably going to have to get it towed to the dealer for repair.

Saturns burn oil, especially when they get older. Are you regularly checking to see if it needs more oil?
