The cooling fan is energized by the electricity from a engine block sending unit and a relay. If either of these is defective, the fan will not run on it's own. The motor might also be bad, it can fail and still allow the fan to spin. God bless your efforts.

It will be on the front side of the engine block, very difficult to get to with out pulling the Intake Manifold, Also while you are at it replace the Flame Trap System.

If it worked, it would have made a huge huge mess. Equivalent to spraying a couple 12oz cans of oily goo everywhere. Not to mention that it would be under pressure, so a lot more than a little smoke would have followed...you would have no doubt...freon is messy.

Some cars don't have a transmission oil dipstick. You are just supposed to replace the transmission fluid at how many miles the manual tells you.Check the manual to see when the transmission fluid needs to be replaced.

check transmission fluid level, vacum leak.or wiring,transmission solenoid ,sensors. or hope not. bad tranny....eeecchh
