2002 Chrysler Voyager - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Where is fuse box located? Not the one under hood.
Your manual should pin point that for you. If no manual, then as an example, my car has three fuse box locations: one under the hood, one under the dash near the driver side door, and one under the rear seat.
Where is the best place to run a power cable from battery to inside the vehicle?
If that is true..It may be above just under the dash.. Some wiring connects directly to the fuse block inside the vehicle. I you are thinking about running a hot wire directly from the battery and you drill a hole make sure there are no components in the way , you put a rubber grommet in the hole and seal it once the wire it run through.. And be certain to fuse the wire. Check online for wiring schematics and you may not have to drill a hole. Also some vehicles PCM;s are affected by additional circuits ..check with the dealership.
Occasional Sudden smoke from under rear-passenger door (in breather)
This is the Diesel Cabin Heater. It will only come on when it is cold and comes on automatically when you start the car. If you do a short journey you will often see smoke coming out and occasionally hear some noise. It can continue to run for a few minutes. There are no controls for it but you will see a yellow light on the dashboard next to the right hand indicator light. It will only operate if it is cold and you have more than 100-120 miles of fuel left in the tank.
