2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Why are my locks working separately?

From our Pro Technician. Anonymous Mar 08, 2022 Look for broken wires inside the flex boot , black rubber boot from the body of the vehicle to divers door. That year vehicle happens a lot after you open the door a million times. Find a good local auto-electrician.

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 4.7. JUNCTION BLOCK flasher relay replacement ?

Question edited for clarity and some sentences. Question moved to Jeep sub category. The way to fix that is to go to a local auto-electrician and they will just replace the contacts in the junction box by crimping a new one to the wire, and locking it back into the junction box. You might even be able to do it yourself by bending the contacts in the socket a little with a thin blade screwdriver.

I replaced a cracked rear

  • If there are no brake lights period the check the stop switch (brake light switch)
  • This is attached to the upper part of the brake pedal itself. Should be a little wire off of it. When that goes bad the brake lights will not work at all.
  • Please note that the fuse for "brakes" is ABS only and has no bearing on the brake lights themselves working.

Where the window relay is located in a 2003 jeep grand cherokee?

relay, way assume there is one? did you SCAN it yet ? got PCI comm errors. or door module errors? why not post symptoms and ask for help. that works not guessing... in 99% of all cases. WJ jeep covers all this in the FSM book, or at alldata.com ending the guessing game. fast. chapter 8 is wiring in the jeep book. next is power window . 8N- page 33 is there. theory of ops. are all windows dead, or just one, must I ask>? FSM chapter 8w-60 -2 shows, NO RELAY. it has 2 modules the driver module DDM and passenger module, fuses and motors. now the bad news. the BCM brain, sees what buttons you press, then the BCM sends a digital message stream to the MODULES the modules then do as they are told. via the PCI network. (that is how it all works with min words) so what does the shop do. well he scans first. (after checking all fuse) PDC fuse 12 , 50 amps. (first if all windows are dead) now on page 4 they show RHD and export models with no brain that is , just door switches that go to motor direct, and again not one relay, in this system.. BCM top left PCI bus below it. driver door module getting commands. (serial) look ma' no switches or relays. (usa cars) 24778773-ylqjikjamog5a0is5ho2uz3h-1-0.jpg what is inside the module is a jeep secret. the BCM does the magic where by you command driver window down and it does so automatically. this is software doing that in the BCM. a big clue if your jeep has this BCM system. show above. ill now quote the FSM book The most reliable, efficient, and accurate means to diagnose the power window system requires the use of a DRB scan tool and the proper Diagnostic Procedures manual. The DRB scan tool can provide confirmation that the PCI data bus is functional, that all of the electronic modules are sending and receiving the proper messages on the PCI data bus, and that the power window motors are being sent the proper hard wired outputs by the door modules for them to perform their power window system functions. if you dont have this option DDM ? then the fuse is blown or the switches are bad, super easy to diagnose, ask. how.

What is wrong when I pull JB Power #15 50 amp fuse the drain g

2003 jeep GC, or WJ jeep, it is..? there are no 50a fuses in any JB, there are just 4 in the PDC. engine bay. so, JB is wrong, input to me. ill assume F15 is correct, and not F3/7/12 in PDC F15 feeds JB via a pink wire. (pk-wt) this main F15 feed JB , F5,7,8,9 fuse in cab. so pull fuse 5 to 9 there and the one that ends the drain is the load that is leaking, (phantom drains) easy, huh, just 4 fuse to pull. Cab box, only. called JB on all jeeps. jb fuse 5 is radio. jb fuse 7 is HVAC zone control (heat?) skim mod. & auto head lamp sensor & BCM memory, (yes lots) jb fuse 8 is (12 courtesy lamps , intrusion module(export) and VICS, vehicle info center(memory) jb fuse 9, front12vdc power outlets (cig ports modern) Cell Phone arked there? or login at alldata.com and see all that, in the wiring pages.

After a short drive my jeep wont start has power no click or crank

Read this post about a lot of electrical problems. It will give you an idea on what to look for. https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/the-famous-jeep-grand-cherokee-electrical-problem-272172/5/ When it does not crank, check to see if voltage is getting to the starter. If it is, hit the starter. If it starts , replace it.

This is the first time the engine shut engine off to cool and add water until I could get to coolant. Now the jeep will not turn over. Battery is holding charge. no leak in the radiator. Took to Autoz

When you say the jeep will not turn over, you mean that it will not crank? If that is so then you may have a bad starter or coolant may have filled a cylinder with water. Pull out the spark plugs and see if it will crank over, check to see if water comes out of the heads when cranking. If it still does not turn over, check the starter.
