HOW TO REPLACE A IGNITION SWITCH ON A ISUZU RODEO

Removal 1. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead. 2. Turn the ignition switch to "LOCK". 3. Disconnect the battery "- " terminal cable, and wait at least 5 minutes. 4. Disconnect the yellow 2-way SRS connector located under the steering column. Caution: The wheels of the vehicle must be straight ahead and the steering column in the "LOCK" position before disconnecting the steering wheel. Failure to do so will cause the coil assembly to become uncentered which will cause damage to the coil assembly. 5. Remove the engine hood opening lever and steering lower cover. 6. Remove driver knee bolster (reinforcement). 7. Loosen the inflator module fixing bolt from behind the steering wheel assembly using a TORX 0 driver or equivalent until the inflator module can be released from steering assembly. 8. Disconnect the yellow 2-way SRS connector and horn lead located behind the inflator module. 9. Apply a setting mark (1) across the steering wheel and shaft so parts can be reassembled in their original position. 10. Move the front wheels to the straight ahead position, then use steering wheel remover J-29752 to remove the steering wheel. Caution: Never apply force to the steering wheel in direction of the shaft by using a hammer or other impact tools in an attempt to remove the steering wheel. The steering shaft is designed as an energy absorbing unit. 11. Remove steering column cover. 12. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors located under the steering column. 13. Remove the combination switch assembly with SRS coil. 14. Remove snap ring. 15. Remove cushion rubber. 16. Remove shift lock cable (for A/T). 17. Disconnect the starter switch harness connector located under the steering column then remove lock cylinder assembly.

Bypassing immobilizer on a 1999 izusu rodeo won't start no crank

The short answer is you can't! All modern cars have alarms and immobilizers. There is a transponder in the key and a receiver around the ignition lock. If both are present, the ECM (engine control module) or BCM (Body Control Module) releases power to the ignition circuit or the starter. When you turn the key, the starter spins the engine and you get a spark. If any one of those three items are not in the chain, you get the engine to turn, but no spark. There is no way to beat the system. You have to fix what is wrong, not find a way around it. The immobilizer is in place to stop exactly what you are trying to do.

1999 Isuzu Rodeo interchangeable parts with what years

Depends on what parts you're referring to. The 1998 and 1999 are identical I believe, but in 2000 the headlights and front grille changed slightly. Some other "appearance" parts, interior and exterior are different, but many are the same. The engine, drivetrain, wheels and other mechanical parts remained largely the same through 2002. In the final year they were sold in the U.S., 2003 a lot more changes were made but the body remained pretty much the same. They also added the larger, 2.4L engine from the Trooper as an option. In all years from 1998 forward, there were 4cyl, 6cyl, 2WD and 4WD options, automatic and manual transmissions. So, your question is very vague to answer specifically.

Isuzu rodeo fuel cut off switch location

The 1999 Isuzu Rodeo does not come with a fuel Inertia cut off switch. In case of an accident, the oil pressure switch comes into play i.e. if the engine shuts off and starts leaking oil. The oil pressure switch also cuts off the fuel pump power.

I just failed my emissions

it is the EGR valve that has a large bearing on the emission control so run the fault codes to find if it is the valve or the solenoid control that is faulty
