Hi Jose:Accordting with the 2001 Ford Ranger Owners Manual, you have several fuse locations...Passenger compartment fuse panel: The fuse panel is located on the left hand side of the instrument panel facing the drivers side door. Power distribution box: the power distribution box is located in the engine compartment. powersteering pump going out if not waterpump one of those pullys on the front of those going bad

All diffs can be rebuilt.

That's where I would start. Get a spray bottle with water in it and a few drops of dish soap just to make it sudsy. Start the truck and spray around all of the vacuum lines, intake manifold, etc. If the idle goes up, that's your leak. Good luck

Check fuel pump relay and when it stops check for spark at the spark plug lead.

This is your pats transceiver. I don't know if this helps? I looked at info for 3.0L--99--ranger. You have to remove steering column cover to get at it. Also, note the wiring for transceiver. I didn't see wire color you mentioned? You might be able to go to your local dealership and talk to their service department, or call them. See if they have a transceiver in stock that they will let you look at and compare it to what you have?

under so circumstance should it leak out. Either the filler neck is leaking or the seal for the fuel pump. You will need to lower the tank to check it out.

Check local junk yards, tell them the vehicle make/model ....it will be the cheapest to get it replaced.

The vacuum hose diagram is located on a sticker under the hood.

look for lo and hi on the cap.

The lines coming on the dryer canister are HI side.
Use the opposite one to charge.

I am not sure I thought some of them were on the back of the compressor which makes it hard to see . but one thing for sure follow the low press line towards the evap and you will find it

They were put in the door latch inside the door.

Had a similar issue on an old Mazda pickup that was really a Ford. I found that the issue was with an ABS sensor mounted near the rear axle. When I opened the cover, I found a lot of corrosion. I scraped out what I could and sprayed it down liberally with some electrical contact cleaner. I did not have any ABS function to my brakes althought they still worked. 2 or 3 days after my cleaning efforts, the ABS and brake light went out and the ABS function returned to my brakes! I think a junk yard wanted a couple hundred bucks for that part. Check and see if you have the actual abs function (ie brake pedal pulsing during a skidding hard braking action). This may very well be your isse and it may be a very cheap fix!

Get the trouble codes. Have it scanned for them. If the light is on, it likely set a code that will help in diagnosing. Also test fuel pressure.

if it cranks over-it may be an ignition system fault/ if you turn the key and nothing happens at all with a good battery-it may be a bad starter motor-the starter motor has a very small wire connection not like the big fat starter motor battery connection-it is small and comes from the ignition switch - just apply 12 volts from the battery to that connector terminal and the motor will crank-key off it will not start-turn key to ignition on- it will start, so be in park and block the wheels and do not make a mistake

was the correct bulb used? this sounds like a single function bulb was used NOT the bulb that will light with the headlights and ALso produce turn singles
