usually you can hear the buzz/whine of the fuel pump when you turn the key just before start. dont turn the engine over. if it is the fuel pump it usually wont run. keep me posted.

There are no marks. You need to remove #1 spark plug. Bring the piston up on TDC (all the way up). Then remove valve cover. On the drivers side of the camshafts you will see a slot ground into the ends. The slots are off center of the camshft. There is a tool to fit into the slots tieing both cams at the same time. Once the tool is installed and the #1 piston was up before you locked the cams you can remove the T-belt for replacement & water pump replacement.

Disconnect the camshaft position sensor electrical connector. Disconnect the coolant hoses and position to one side. Unscrew (3)bolts and remove the thermostat housing.

You had better recheck that timing belt it sounds like it is out of time by one tooth.

Usually the valve cover, unless the oil filter is there. In that case, it could be the oil pressure sensor.

when you take the car back for emissions test, try this trick. keep in a lowish gear with high revs when you take it. 9 times out of 10 this will work long enough to get it through the test

There is not a fuse just for the fuel gauge. If it's not working the sending unit in the fuel tank could be bad or the gauge it self is bad . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop.

The turn signal stalk probably needs replaced. All the control switches are in the stalk. We had a 1996 Ford Windstar with that problem.

If engine revs go high and no forward movement you most likely need a new transmission

Check engine light on ? Have the codes read at a parts store , they do it for free , and they will suggest a part for you to buy . This may or may not fix the problem . Your best bet , take it to a ASE certified repair shop !

Have a capasity test done on the Battery. A Good battery will read 12.6 volts or higher.
