2006 Ford Fusion. I heard a pop in the back of car lost all braking. Is it master cylinder please?

No, you have split a brake pipe if the noise came from the back.

2006 Ford Fusion belt came off again 5 or 6 times within 5 years. The ldler pulley is always broken.

Question edited for clarity and typos. Question moved to model category. You have bad alignment on one of the items driven by the serpentine belt or something has bad bearings.

2006 Ford Fusion SEL V6. I plugged in scanner on my Fusion and the only thing that came up was ecu#2 ID 7E9.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Misc category. That's good, no codes, just the ECM Module ID. Or did you mis-read it? Engine code $7E8, $7E9, $7Ex - They're not what you think they are - OBD Planet ..

FORD FUSION ALARM PROBLEMS

2016 Ford Fusion alarm goes off frequently (usually at 7:00 AM) when I try to get in, so neighbors are happy, you can bet. NOTHING....repeat....NOTHING will stop it, except quickly starting the car. The remote is absolutely worthless, no amount of pressing or manipulating the remote buttons will stop the blaring. I just end up with popped hoods, open doors, etc.

P0817 CODE, WHY AND WHERE IS THE TCM ON MY 2006 FORD FUSION 3.0L

P0817 Starter circuit Starter circuit error TCM detected a failure in the starter circuit, failed ON or OFF No TCC engagements, no adaptive or self learning strategy. Go to Section 303-06 . Starting System The starting system consists of the following components:
  • Starter motor
  • Starter motor relay - part of smart junction box (SJB)
  • Transmission range (TR) sensor - automatic transmission
  • Clutch cutoff switch - manual transmission
  • Battery
  • Ignition switch
When the key is placed in the START position, the starter solenoid is energized and a magnetic field is created in the starter solenoid windings. The iron plunger core is drawn into the starter solenoid coil, and a drive lever and pin connected to the starter drive engages the drive pinion gear to the flexplate/flywheel ring gear. When the plunger is pulled all the way in, its contact disc closes the circuit between the battery and the starter motor solenoid feed terminals. This sends current to the motor, and the drive pinion gear cranks the flexplate/flywheel to start the engine. When current flows to the starter motor, the starter solenoid pull-in coil is bypassed, and the hold-in coil keeps the drive pinion gear engaged with the flywheel until the ignition switch is released from the START position. An overrunning clutch in the starter drive protects the starter motor from excessive speeds during the brief period before the driver releases the ignition switch from the START position as the engine starts. Vehicles equipped with a manual transaxle have a clutch cutoff switch mounted on the clutch pedal bracket. The clutch cutoff switch prevents operation of the starter motor unless the clutch is fully depressed. Vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission have a TR sensor mounted on the transaxle. The TR sensor prevents operation of the starter motor unless NEUTRAL or PARK is selected. Principles of Operation Anti-Theft Intervention The starting system is electronically controlled by the passive anti-theft system (PATS). The PATS system recognizes the correct electronically coded ignition key and signals the instrument cluster to provide a ground for the starter relay. The energized relay provides voltage to the starter solenoid, thereby allowing the starter motor to activate NOTE: When working on the starter system, make sure the anti-theft system is operating correctly.
  1. Verify the customer concern by operating the starting system to duplicate the conditions.
  1. Inspect to determine if any of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply.

    • 23 (60A)
    • 14 (15A)
  • Smart junction box (SJB) fuses:
    • 10 (30A)
    • 22 (7.5A) - 3.0L vehicles only
  • Wiring harness
  • Starter relay (part of SJB)
  • Anti-theft system
  • Loose or corroded connections
  1. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
  1. If the cause is not visually evident, connect the diagnostic tool to the data link connector (DLC) and select the vehicle to be tested from the diagnostic tool menu. If the diagnostic tool does not communicate with the vehicle:
    • check that the program card is correctly installed.
    • check the connections to the vehicle.
    • check the ignition switch position.
  1. If the diagnostic tool still does not communicate with the vehicle, refer to the diagnostic tool operating manual.
  1. Carry out the diagnostic tool data link test. If the diagnostic tool responds with:
    • appropriate communication networks, such as SCP, ISO, UBP, CAN circuit fault; all electronic control units no response/not equipped, refer to Section 418-00 .
    • No response/not equipped for generic electronic module (GEM), refer to Section 419-10 .
    • System passed, retrieve and record the continuous diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), erase the continuous DTCs and carry out the self-test diagnostics for the GEM.
  1. If the DTCs retrieved are related to the concern, go to the Generic Electronic Module (GEM) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index.
  1. If no DTCs related to the concern are retrieved, GO to Symptom Chart .
  2. Your best bet < take it to a qualified repair shop.

The throttle actuator control module is malfunctioning. P2104 Throttle Actuator Control System Forced Idle P2112 Throttle actuator stuck closed. Shop around before buying. The prices vary greatly. Hope this helps

Where do i find the ac fuse in 2006 ford fusion

Vehicles can have multiple housings for your fuses. Generally, there is a fuse box on the diverside under the steering wheel located against the firewall and one under the hood near the driverside wheel well. The inside of the fuse cover will give you the location of the AC fuse in the box. Best option is to consult the owners manual. 2006 ford fusion i cant

The fuse for the cigarette light is fuse number 15 in the fuse box inside the vehicle. The fuse will be a 20 amp fuse. The fuse panel will be under the dash on the driver side. This will have a cover over it and may take a flashlight to find. Replace the fuse and test to see if its working. If its not check the fuse again. If you find it blown again look for loose change or some conductor stuck in the cigarette lighter. good luck

2006 ford fusion

It is a 30 Amp circuit breaker in the passenger compartment fuse box, it is a small rectangular shape, if the circuit breaker is good then you may have another problem like the GEM module or the window motors or switch's.

Changed temp sensor engine check light still on. Over heat gauge erratic and moves to the right.

Get an oven thermometer, run the car untill the check light goes on, using a multilayer rag slowly open the radiator cap one notch.If if the cap wiggles loose & no steam comes out , you can fully remove it. Put the thermometer into the liquid coolant , if temp is 180 F (+- 20), the problem is electrical. If steam comes out its a cooling system problem. Use commonsense in doing this. Probably the gague is faulty.

I believe your pressure plate is broken and at a minimum will have to be replaced along with the clutch disk.

Air conditioning and heat controls not working

Sounds like either a fuse issue, or a wire came loose to the main controls. Check your car's user guide for the location of the fuses in the fuse box for that specific control panel. Blown fuses are often the cause of things like that. Electrical malfunctions can also be caused by wires melting when exposed to extreme heat, such as under the hood or from faulty electrical systems. But I would definitely start by checking the fuses.
