2000 Volkswagen Beetle 1.8 turbo sensor locators.

Question partially edited for clarity, but do you mean '2000 Volkswagen Beetle 1.8 turbo. Sensor locators', like where is the *location* of every sensor? Or do you only want sensors that are involved with the turbo? https://www.google.com/search?q=2000+Volkswagen+Beetle+1.8+turbo+sensor+locators https://www.google.com/search?q=2000+Volkswagen+Beetle+1.8+turbo+sensor+locations ..

2001 VW beetle sport 1.8 L manual trans. AWV ENGINE

first off P2 codes are factory codes so googling those gets lies easy. only the shop manual VW is the right way and it even tells you step by step how to prove what is wrong, (tests) country not told , engine yes, VW yes ,body yes. stick shift yes. USA answers this web site no COUNTRY stated so must be told. yes TBW cars the TB and pedal pots all must match or it goes to limphome, like all modern cars do i fact. from the book (USA)it states clearly this. Number of Trips to Set Code: 1 Trouble Code Conditions: Engine started, battery voltage at least 11.5v, all electrical components off, ground connections between engine and chassis well connected, the ECM detected that the accelerator pedal position sensor signal was outside the parameters to function normally. Note: Both the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor and Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor are located at the accelerator pedal module and communicate the driver's intentions to the ECM completely independently of each other. Both sensors are stored in one housing. Possible Causes:
  • * Ground between engine and chassis may be broken
  • * Throttle position sensor may have failed
  • * Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor has failed
  • * Throttle position sensor wiring may have shorted
  • * Throttle position sensor has failed
  • * Faulty voltage supply
  • * ECM has failed <<<<(nah I say)
Trouble Code: P2128 (1.8L L4 VIN - Std) Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 'E' Circuit High Input now learn this on TBW, throttle by wire, you must do a learn cycle to swap parts for sure not willlyynillyyy the TB and the pedal modules are married and turned to like each other, and learm mode step is next. changing many parts, for sure all that guessing and throwing parts are hopeless. Throttle Valve Control Module J338 Throttle Drive (for Electronic Power Control (EPC)) G186/Throttle Drive Angle Sensor 1 (for throttle drive) G187/Throttle Drive Angle Sensor 2 (for throttle drive). G188 6-pin electrical harness connector 2. those are the parts. I see no learn mode. Final procedures After the Repair work, the following work steps must be performed in the following sequence: Check the DTC memory. Refer to Diagnostic Mode 03 - Read DTC Memory. If necessary, erase the DTC memory. Refer to Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC Memory. If the DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code. Refer to Readiness Code. End of diagnosis. the tests in them manual are long for both devices TB/pedal reset All DTC errors at parts swaps and key off then pull battery NEG log for 1 or more hours. then put back and tranny will self learn and any others, told in the service manual Next time ask what to do first, on modern cars. Id have swapped the pedal parts all first. reset all DTC and pulled battery neg lug. and waited, and put back battery and drive so PCM can learn the new PEDAL values, and also the TB (paired to it) if that is too costly? the manual shows the tests on each pint here Pedal and voltages and ohms to find the exact cause of the error, if lucky do learn this, most go intermittence, and super hard to prove that. best is replace the pedal POTS in whole. if TB fails it too in whole and never buy used parts here. cardone1 may have it but great quality rebuilt.

2000 volkswagen beetle has trouble

You have an electronic immobilizer key recognition problem. Your key chip is not recognized by the transponder antenna fitted on the ignition switch barrel. Do you have this warning symbol lightning on the dashboard?

This warning lamp indicates that the engine is locked by the immobilizer system, and the engine start sequence must be repeat again.

From year 1995 in Audi-VW (VAG) cars is used engine immobilizer. The VAG group immobilizer system consists of an immobilizer ECU which controls the recognition of keys and the Engine Management ECU system. Immobilizer is activated when the ignition key is removed and, together with the engine control unit, largely prevents unauthorized starting of the engine. The system uses a transmitter and receiver unit in the ignition key (transponder). Whenever an attempt is made to start the engine, it transmits a new code to the car's electronics. The immobilizing is only cancelled and car motor electronic receives permission to start engine if the key sends a right authorization code.

Use another ignition key that you have, and start the engine.

You will need to programm all ignition keys using suitable diagnostic equipment (VAS, VAG-Com) connected to the data link connector of the car.

How do you remove the rear fenders on a 2001 vw

no the gas tank has nothing to do with it ..first thing is that the two rear fenders and rear bumper cover are bolted together and must be removed as a unit. First thing remove the inner fenders on both of the rear tires then look up and remove the T30 torq bolts and 10mm nuts on bottom the brake light housings must be removed from inside of the trunk there are 2 covers in the corners pop them out and ther will be a plastic knob remove taking care not to drop them then pop out lights with a small flat tip screwdriver unplug lights then take loose the gas door screw and remove clip holding the latch then pull out latch taking care to not break it. then remove all the screws on the outside under the rear deck lid T30 torq .gently pull on fenders and pull off the rear fender/bumper cover assembly taking care to not pull out oo far then take off 8mm nuts from heat shield on left backup lamp and unplug lights ..there u go the all u have to do is unblot the fenders and ur good to go

2000 vw beetle crankes up reeves up nice let off gas dies immediatlly. 1.8 liter turbo

Steve, Try disconnecting your MAF sensor and then start the car...If it keeps running, then your MAF is bad and needs to be replaced. By unplugging the MAF the engine's computer will default to a preset value and keep the engine running. Also check this next one I found on the internet....go to Google and type in your problem and vehicle info...you'll fins alot of info. Good luck !This problem haunted my beetle forever. Everyone and his brother had a recommendation. I changed the fuel pump, filters, fuel pressure regulator, the MAF sensor, engine speed sensor, replaced the factory airbox with a K&N, kept stalling. Turns out the problem was something that not a single mechanic thought of, and that no diagnostic tool hooked up to your computer would find: sludge in the gas tank. Over time, the lining in the gas tank wears, creating a sludge. This is usually not a problem until you run below a certain level. For me, this is when the gas gauge goes below half. The solution would be to have the entire fuel system cleaned, which I did, but you have to get the tank pumped and cleaned too. Otherwise, the sludge remains. The temporary fix is to never let it go below half. I hope that helps!

2000 vw beetle , 2.0 . have lots of air coming

Walt, Does you engine temp gauge register normal operating temp when the engine has ran for 10- 15 minutes? If so, your problem could be your heater control valve. If your engine temp is cold, then your problem is most likely your thermostat. Pls advise further what is going on. thx
