Reset security on 04 monte carlo

If you leave your key in the ON position for 15 minutes, the security system should relearn it and work once again. But the halo around the lock cylinder needs changing. You can purchase a kit from GM that includes the lock cylinder along with the halo. you do not need to replace everything, just the halo is what usually goes bad.

Initially ran rough blew blue smoke from exhaust,

If it's blue smoke, your burning oil. Get the head gasket checked. If that's ok your looking at something more serious, (more expensive), inside the engine. 5d452bde-5087-4f6e-b64a-6d55489c954f-vdneokt5l5u4sxggroigk1lo-3-0.jpeg

Oxygen sensor readings go to 0 at wide open throttle

I suspect your catalytic converters are the culprit. Once they become clogged, they will rob your engine of power and provide false readings to the O2 sensors. I would also check the compression on all cylinders to ensure you do not have any valves burnt or not seating completely. Finally, these aluminum engines are notorious for blowing head gaskets, although I am still leaning towards the catalytic converters. FYI - there should be O2 sensors pre and post cat, which should help with troubleshooting. I hope this helps. helpful-rmh1nkwavuqlpyc44d3sgb0s-3-0_15.png

The speedometer works part of the time to read right speed and then it goes crazyreading what ever it wants either high or too low some times it gets stuck on 15 mph in park or reads 10 to 15 when dri

If the car is otherwise working OK, it's probably your instrument cluster (IPC). There is an electronic sensor on your transmission that sends a signal to your engine computer (ECM) and the IPC. Your transmission changes gears in response to this sensor, so if it's shifting properly, and the other gauges are ok, the ECM should be OK
