L300 express van/ starter motor
http://www.alldatadiy.com will cover your vehicle completely. However, there is a subscription fee; $21 for the first vehicle and $16 for each additional vehicle for a year subscription. Or, you could send a text from your cell phone to Cha Cha, (242-242) and ask them. It is free and only costs whatever it normally costs you to send a text from your cell phone. They can answer ANY question. Real people. Not computers like Google.
Fan Motor
Go to a junkie and get another motor on the cheap / or check it out on ebay.
Seized gear box.
check the selector levers for wear and possible jamming or if you have the lever directly into the top of the box then check the lever pivot pin in the turret of the gear box.
Mitsubishi van 1990 express. will not go into
The mitsuishi products of this era use a temperature switch that allowed the engine to switch to overdrive (ie the engine had to be a min. heat for tranny to go in to OD) This sensor may have failed or the relay it goes to... possible open wire to OD switch too. To check the OD solenoid you can place a positive wire lead to it, you'll hear a slight click, this will be the solenoid energizing. If you hear it you know the solenoid is good andthe failure lies with another component. If push comes to shove you can wire in another OD switch and have it receive power from the fuse box (power when key is on only) the OD solenoid would always be energized when the engine is running unless you turn off the switch yourself.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom
Where is the fuel pump on a mitsubishi van
In the 1995 version it was located in the fuel tank. There's a removable plate on the top of the tank that the fuel line comes from - remove that and the pump comes with it. 1990 could be different, trace the fuel line back from the carby. If you don't see a pump anywhere then it's in the tank.
Express van
Depends what you mean by "cam seal". Do you mean the seal that goes under the front engine cover? It involves taking of the pulleys and belts. To get a mechanic to fix it will cost quite a bit because of the time factor. If you have the tools and a couple of hours you can fix it yourself and the seal itself won't be expensive.
