Electrical Problem for a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer

I have a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. My son ran the battery down and my wife had to get it jumped to get it started. I found out later that they initially tried to hook the battery cables to the red and black cables leading into the fuse box. After getting the car jumped, the car has the following electrical problems:
1. Radio will not work
2. Electric locks will not work
3. Windows will not work
4. Interior lights do not work
5. Cigarette lighter does not work
6. A/c does not work. The blower does work
7. Dash lights do not work

I checked the fuses that you can visually inspect in both places and did not see any blown fuses. Since this happened after attempting to jump the car in the wrong place, I am assuming that this is the cause of the problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mark

Hey everyone with this problem! Theres a fuse under the hood in the front of the fuse box. Its black and its not in the bow itself but under the cover though! two nuts hold it in place where your cable line comes in from the battery. The fuse costs $15.00 avg. most anyplace! Easy to change and everything will work inside your vehicle! Without it the vehicle will start and run but you will have no functions on the interior, or dash!

Service Engine Soon Light on a 2004 Trail Blazer

My SES light came on yesterday under what I would consider to be normal driving with no noticeable problems (at least to my untrained eye and ear)... I ran the OnStar diagnostics, and they told me they received signals indicating an error with ether transmission or power train.

Today, I called the Chevy dealer, and they want $100 just to run a diagnostics on it. Then the repair costs would depend on what they find.

Is there anything I can do prior to bringing it to the dealer to check things out on my own?

Much appreciated,
Greg

VERY SIMPLE
1. Turn key to the "on" position but don't start car
2. Pull the PCM BAT and PCM IGN fuses in engine compartment
3. Wait approximately 5 minutes
4. Turn ignition off
5. Replace fuses
6. Start the car and the make sure the light has went off.
then check to see if your gas cap is on right. If this light comes on again then it is time for the dealer. If you can't find them fuses then just disconnect the battery for five minutes reconnect the battery and when you start the truck the light should be out. just let it idle for 2 minutes with no heater or radio on. and you set. I hope this helps you.

this is a small leak in the evaporative emission control system. Most common cause is a loose or faulty gas cap but not always, Sometimes the check valve in the gas cap doesn't seat properly allowing the gas tank pressure to bleed down. The EVAP system needs to see a positive pressure in the tank.

Where is the cruise control fuse in a 2004 chevy

Where is the cruise control fuse in a 2004 chevy trailblazer?

Gotta tell you, this question had me a little confused. Below are 2 wiring diagrams for you. One is for the cruise control circuit and the other is for the air conditioning circuit. The reason I gave you those is because it seems according to the wiring diagram in the cruise control that the fuse for the cruise control goes to the HVAC (air conditioning). According to the wiring diagram for the A/C yes that fuse also controls the ignition power for the A/C controller. In any case the fuse that would cover the cruise control is the number 30 fuse in the fuse panel located under the hood of the vehicle. Below is a picture of the location of the fuse panel and also fuse layout diagrams for the 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder engine vehicles as they have different layouts depending on the engine size. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Sounds like a fuse. Are you getting power to the driver door module (control cluster as you say). Below are 3 pictures for you. The first one is the location where the fuse box is located for that fuse (under drivers seat in the rear). The second picture is a diagram or the latout of the fuses. The fuse you want to check is the fuse marked "LT DOORS" or the one marked 02. It should be a 25 amp fuse. The 3rd picture is a wiring diagram for the circuit. If the fuse isn't blown check the power wire from the fuse box to the driver door control module. Sounds like a power issue. Anymore questions or diagrams that you need, feel free to email me at [email protected] and I should have and will send if you need anything else. I hope this helps and good luck.

how to reset service brake system light

Had front brakes and rotors replaced and the light comes on sporadically. What do I need to do to reset system?

Answer

It doesn't need a reset, a mechanic needs to scan for the fault code that is setting the warning light. It could be a poor or no connection at the wheel speed sensor or a problem with the ABS.
