Need radio code for 2001 mitsubishi galant

I read on another site that if you get locked out, your radio will show OFF. All you need to do is keep your radio on for an hour. It will reset itself. Your car doe not need to be on. Not sure if this works, but it is worth a try and may save you $80!!

How to trace head light wiring in 2001 mitsubishi galant

First you would need a wiring diagram , do you know what those are ? Then you would need service repair info. so you know how the wiring harness runs through the vehicle , where it's power comes from , ground connection etc... Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb/ Enter vehicle info. Year , make , model an engine . Under system click lighting , then under subsystem click on headlamps . Click the search button then the blue link . You have no headlamps at all , lo or high ? Could be a relay problem .

Check for a disconnected or broken vacuum hose. You might've accidentally disconnected it or broke it since they can get brittle and break easy.

Where is the fuel pressure regulator for a 2001 mitsubishi galant?

**NOTE** A bit of a disclaimer. Fuel systems can run at VERY high pressures so don't mess if you don't know what your doing! The regulator will be in one of two places. On or near the injector fuel rail, or part of the fuel pump inside the fuel tank. 2efe1861-83a0-4a31-b87c-5db49d8330c9-nrf5sbso0gcqbm4swxwrti0a-3-0.jpeg

Repeated Motor Mount Failure on 2001 Mitsubishi Galant.

Odd situation. There's four mounts only: one on the transmission, one next to the water pump, and two on the center arm (front and rear engine sides). Mounts can fail due to oil contamination, and of course, rough treatment, which you say you don't do. The center arm mounts are the most common failures, as these absorb the torque movements of the engine. Multiple failures are unusual, and aftermarket mounts are usually acceptable quality. The question is now which mount or mounts were replaced. It would be VERY, make that EXTREMELY, unusual to have all mounts fail, and to happen twice in 130K. I would now question the motives or skill of the mechanic. Perhaps there was another noise of clunking that was described as "motor mount" failures.

Cd player

Here is the answer to the best of my knowledge. This applies to any body that has the need to get the code from the dealership and requires to pull out the radio and look up the serial number. The process is very simple, just follow these steps and you'll be on your way to listening to your radio again. First of all don't think you need to unscrew anything. The wood panel sorounding your stereo snaps out by pulling on it or using a flat screw driver at the corners. Once you have taken the panel out, you can see that the radio is held in by 2 hooks. Push up and pull forward slightly. You don't have to pull out the entire radio because you can see the serial number on the top surface very easyly. Write down the number next to where it reads s/n. Once you have the serial number, call the local dealership and give them your serial number. They will in turn give you a four digit code number that you will enter on your radio. One thing to note is that if you have entered the wrong code number 3 times, your radio would lock up and it would read "OFF". To unlock it, simply park your veichle in a safe place and leave the radio on for about 1 hour (no engine running just click the ignition switch to operate the radio). After one hour, the radio resetes and will aks you again to enter the code. start entering one number at a time using the first 4 buttons. Example, if your code is 4538, you would push button 1 four times to get to the number 4, you would push button 2 five times to get to the number five and so on.. After you have entered the correct code, push the cd button and there you have it. I hope this helps.

Perhaps the thick power cable to the starter is broken. Is it a little click like a relay or more of a clonk like a solenoid? The starter often has the solenoid built in. It's this clonk that connects the heavy power to the motor. You don't usually notice this clonk because it's immediately followed by engine cranking. So two possible causes; 1. Big power wire to the starter 2. Solenoid not firing.
