Can you shift from 2wheel drive into allwheel or any other gear while driving ?

You can at slower speeds. Highway speeds, the computer won't switch it.

Why is it blowing warm on and off on the driver side and blowing cool on the passenger side?

Here's is a little background and a couple of thoughts. Turning to the background, first. The heater/air conditioner system in your 02 uses the same set of ducts located in the instrument panel. In turn, those ducts are linked to what can be considered miniature version of the cooling system in the engine compartment (yes, this is a greatly simplified version). The whole system, in fact, is run off the main heater/ac system, however, it has a separate series of controls so that it can function properly. When you dial a temperature, a signal is sent to the heater/cooling system telling the system to open a series of baffles, directing a flow of heated or cooled anti-freeze/coolant to the proper "radiator" behind the face of the instrument panel. In turn, the fan system activates a series of doors behind the instrument panel so that the flow of air is directed through the "radiator" and into the passenger compartment. This is essentially the heater/cooling system work. Now, you say that the driver's side is hot, while the passenger side is cool. What has happened is that the flow of heated coolant that is supposed to heat the passenger side of the duct system is blocked. Since there is no heat to warm the air that is flowing past the fins of the "radiator," the flowing air remains cool to cold, depending on the weather and ambient temperature. The result is that one side of the car remains cool. And, since the other side of the "radiator" is normal and the air is heated, it is warmed. That is the most likely explanation for this. Another possibility is that the baffles themselves are stuck and the coolant that is supposed to be directed to the passenger side is not being directed their. Either way, your technician has some work ahead.

Makes clanking while in reverse is it the struts or the u joint??

struts make a noise on bumps and rough roads. I would be looking at the "U" joints as they may be ready to fall apart.

2 out of 3 brake lights dont work

If any light lights up when you apply brakes, then the brake switch is ok. The problem could be a fuse and/or a relay. or the bulbs. Those bulbs are dual filament so one filament could be bad, for stop or tail lights.

2002 envoy, have to turn ignition key on and off 3 or 4 times before it will engage starter

The remote and key are two different things. When turning the key, you are searching for a good contact in the ignition switch. Cold weather just makes it worse to get a contact. Replace the ignition switch. The remote start. If it is after market. Take it out. Repair the wires. Soon it will die and won't let you start your vehicle. Then you will pay someone like me, that works at a shop, to tear it out and charge you $200 to do it. I just did one. A two minute fix, because I know. and a $200 bill. I got paid $1.5 to do it.

How do I get the check engine light off on a 2002 GMC Envoy XL

Depends on why it turned on. If it is the maintenance minder light follow the instructions in the owners manual. If it is due to a engine problem, you will have to solve the problem first and then reset the light. This should be determined with an auto code scanner which can be rented or purchased at an auto parts store. Many will even check the codes for you as it is very easy and they figure that if they help you they can sell the parts to make the repair.

What happens when an air conditioner hose breaks?

You leak freon. I assume your lines on the passenger side along the frame corroded apart which is common. You need to take to a good chevy dealer and they should be able to do the repair on the lines.

Is there a way to fix the air compresssor in a 2002 envoy

They sell compressor repair kits (not sure on price), but the replacement compressor run around $500. You more than likely have a leak, which caused the compressor to go out in the first place. Compressor is easy to change

CENTER BRAKE LIGHT DOESNT WORT

In the 2002 you cannot replace just the light. The housing needs to be replaced as well. For some reason GMC built the housing around the light so you can't just replace the bulb. Best bet for a new housing with light would be eBay.

Removing rear air suspension on GMC Envoy

Just behind right rear tire up in the wheel well. Air inlet is inside right rear quarter near the accessory inflator. Compressor runs 3 lines one for the accessory inflator and one for each air bag.
THere are also 2 sensors, one on each trailing arm that senses load and then raises and lowers accordingly.
