Pressure plate torque spec

Can't imagine that is anywhere near enough unless it's an 1/8 inch bolt!! If it's 3/8 or so I would think 35 with locktite.

No Brake Lights?!?

There is brake light switch located under the dash. It is inserted in a metal bracket that is a part of the brake pedal assembly. When you depress the brake pedal the pedal arm moves away from the brake switch allowing a spring loaded plunger to move out of the switch. As the plunger moves out of the switch a set of contacts close in the switch and turn the brake lights on.

You stated the 10amp under hood brake light fuse is good so check to see if you have power on the "orange" wire at the brake switch with pedal all the way up. Then press the pedal down and you should have power on the " light blue" wire going out of the switch.

We will start there, let me know what you find.

Oil coming out exhaust

Sounds like the milkshake. (Blown head gasket) Stop driving it now before you get stranded. You have no choice but to replace the head gasket, and that isn't cheap or quick. With any luck, the head gasket is the only damage. Sorry for the bad news :( but at least you know what the problem is now.

Engine temperature

If you are asking the normal position of the temperature gauge needle in normal operating mode it will be about half way in the gauge reading( between cold and hot). IT may vary about a needle width regardless of the load on the engine and if it climbs up in traffic then you have a problem with the fan operation
