well bro..this is your lucky nite...pt cruiser r well known with that problem..i am a master tech...under the battery there is a fan wire connection..what happen the ground wire got corrosion on it...what u can do is cut the ground that will be the black one in the middle..the other 2 are blue..don't worry about that...cut after the clip connection going to the fan and run it the negative side off the batt..and it will solve your problem...it only take me less than 10 minute to do it...so u will take 30 minutes if u know what your doin...lol good luck

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to subcategory. You need to put it on a $5,000 pro grade scan tool computer. It can check all the modules and sensors and record live data and diagnosis when it cuts out. Or take it to the dealership or an auto-electrician and recharge to the customer.

In regards to your timing belt being replaced, it's best that you have it done per manufacturers specifications. As for your misfiring, there are many factors that can cause this issue. If you are mechanically inclined, I recommend you begin a compression test and cylinder leakage test. One of these tests will help you determine if you have a bad / bend valve.

You will need help, or you will need to be extremely careful, And you are on your own. If I was required to do this, I would get as close as I can physically to the alarm system inside the car, wherever the control box is located. Then, being very close I would take a picture of where I see wires on the control box. Then, I would look at both the fuse box, and under the hood (where the engine and battery are) for the same color wires. One of those wires is the DC voltage power wire. Disconnect that. You are on your own. You alone are responsible. If you are not an adult, talk to an adult.

Is the check engine light flashing maybe? Check that.
