Remove the key from the ignition but keep it handy. Important: Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for longer than 90 seconds to prevent the risk of having the airbags deploy! Replace the diesel filter (Follow the instructions that can be found in Toyota service manuals (search www). Remove the diesel filter sensor cable (the one on top of the filter assembly). Make sure the new O-rings seat properly. Close the filter assembly by turning the locking ring until it clicks. Bleed the filter assembly by pushing the little plunger thing on the top of the assembly until pumping becomes difficult. Connect the negative back onto the battery. Insert the key in the lock and turn until the dashboard warning lamps come on, but do not start the car yet. Within 3 to 60 seconds of doing this re-connect the diesel flter sensor cable. The light should be extinguished. Obviously there could be another problem causing the light to remain on (not flashing - steady on). If the light is flashing, then you have water in the system and should follow the answer supplied elsewhere by someone else to drain the water. Now start the car and enjoy clean diesel fuel driving. You should really not wait for the light to come on steady before chnaging the filter. Some fanatics believe every 10,000km is the longest you should wait, but this depends on fuel quality, low or high sulfur content, etc. Rather do it more frequently than having to buy new injectors.

Normally it would be open/short But you should check the injector circuit from the ECU (Engine Control Unit)

Should be inside the fuel tank. Drop the tank or lift the bed to gain access.

Here are the torque specs you requested: MAIN BRG CAPS= 29FT/LBS THEN TIGHTEN AN ADDITIONAL 90 DEGREES in sequence(two step process) ROD BEARING CAPS= 18 FT/LBS CYLINDER HEAD BOLTS= 29FT/LBS + 90 degrees + another 90 degrees in sequence from the center out ward, (3 step process). Because there is a;ways an explosion danger, I would not go there. Just ask a Toyota certified repair centre to solve the problem. You never know what is wrong. Check your manual, if the airbag can be switched off, when you have a baby on the passengers seat. Perhaps that is the problem.

I'm assuming that you followed the lamps advice and replaced the timing belt. This indication comes on automatically every 150000km to remind you to replace the timing belt before it breaks and causes catastrophic engine damage. That being said, here is the procedure to reset the lamp for the next time.

you should check your wires make sure they are tight and that they are in good condition you could also check your alternator and make sure it is working properly and check your fuses and make sure none are blown.

Gas too. go to your country Toy dealer and ask for the factory service manual read the ignition chapter, and wiring chapters bingo. or online books dont have your car, only usa spec cars. here. or join a toy forum in your country is a win, big time.

its 1 of 2 things. 1: the fuel is low, use a dip stick, if gauge reads ok. 2; or the tank sender is bad, but gauge reads wrong. 3: the guage wire is disconnected, cut or corroded connections.

you will get these from a toyota dealer from their workshop cd manual. However if you want to check the chassis for bends , the dimensions do not need to be known place the vehicle over a flat floor and using a plumb bob on a sting line drop points onto the floor and mark the position on the floor . Use the same points on each side of the chassis get as many marks on the floor as possible and put on the floor next to the mark where they came from on the chassis (ie rear spring hanger, foot step bracket , tank bracket etc) move the vehicle out of the way and with a tape measure measure the diagonals of like points. Write the dimension on the floor on that diagonal. When finished the variations of like diagonals should be no more than 3mm max. The diagonal with the largest variation will indicate exactly where the chassis needs straightening

Valve setting? Most engine valves have an automatic adjuster to self adjust the setting. You didn't say you had it apart.
