Sounds like a switch problem, have to check for power in and out of switch,if ok check for power to wiper motor

Did you reset the security system?

Start by filling coolant with the proper coolant. Make sure all air is out. Double check after you run the vehicle for a bit. Then check again the next morning. There maybe cylinder head damage from this if it got to hot. There are lots of possibilities on the initial failure causing the overheating.

check the blower regulators you will find a bad connection or a bad solder joint cheers

Yes usually by an auto electrician...or a service centre for Mercedes.Watch out it can be expensive using service centers.Try your local yellow pages for a sole trader auto electrician...last time i did this 5 years ago it cost £75.

Usually the engine will run poorly, your fuel consumption will be higher than normal and if they are really bad you might get misfiring on the engine. Changing them isn't difficult and the plugs don't cost a lot. Old filters can also give similar symptoms. If your worried I would suggest you give the car a major service. This covers all the filters, (fuel, air, oil), fresh oil and a full set of spark plugs.

would need to have the OBD read for the exact cause of this. Any good service centre should be able to read the OBD , if not will have to go to Mercedes

Check the fuses first. If that's ok, it can be the sensor built into the mirror on the windshield, or the headlight switch itself.

I just opened the hood on a 97 C280, I have no pics or video because it's done now really simple, follow closely, first pry one side of the up far enough to see 2 10mm bolts on the radiator upper support, loosing the back one first, then in the middle of the condenser fan there is a 10mm bolt facing downward, you'll need a 1/4 drive rachet and 10mm socket for this, loosing that bolt as far as you can, use a 10mm wrench to finish if need be (also use the same wrech for the part), pry up the other side taking the screws a loose you took from the previous side, the hood is now open, you'll have to pull the cable from the firewall to get the slack you need to raise it higher, this will work

check for s faulty shut of relay or failed solenoid for the stop on the pump

I have had 3 w124s. The problem is probably in your instrument cluster itself.

Try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes to reset everything . Or pull the fuse for the radio which will do the same thing.
