2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Questions & Answers
2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee. installing New radio origin jeep.
Some manufacturers can flash the system as long as the BCM and the Gateway recognize the software.
in most cases, you would need a GPS antenna, that comes with the kit. Sometimes the antenna is already installed and just not used, sometimes it is sold separately. So make sure you have everything installed that is required first.
Next, verify that there aren't any fuses or relays that need to be installed. A lot of the times, install kits will come with specific instructions for your YMM that will indicate if you need to "Wake up" a circuit by providing power to it through a fuse or relay.
After verifying all is ok, you need a flash module and a subscription to the dealer software, which is typically accessed via laptop.
The only other way to flash the system is through an audio installer, and if that doesn't work, then you will need to replace the module for one that is programmed to use the GPS functions and recognize the new head unit.

?
some 2010 have a display (cluster) upgrade that allows you to
see which of 5 tires failed. (yes, 5) and tells you in clear english
like RR bad. or? spare? called EVIC option.
mine dont have this upgraded display. the base system sucks.
forcing me to buy the tool that does that. (on sale this month at all tire racks, get one, now for $20, dirt cheap( $150 normal)
get a CUB-Pro tool. and win.
eg:
You then point said tool to each valve core.
and it reads 35psi, (read your door jam sticker) on each and the temp.
on MY left front tire , it reads nothing, because the sensor in the stim
is dead. i buy a new stem for $20 and have walmart put it in.
end story.
there is more to this sordid story, but i stop here,
