2011 Ford Explorer Limited Edition. The flashers won't turn on, but everything else works.

Question edited for clarity, 'explore' to Explorer.Question moved to category.Jeff our Pro Technician and electronics wizard provides the answer.Jeff Armer Jun 12, 2022Sorry Andrew , doesn't have a flasher relay . The smart junction box supplies a powerPrinciples of OperationThe smart junction box (SJB) monitors the multifunction switch position by sending multiple voltage reference signals to the multifunction switch. When the multifunction switch is in the LH or RH TURN positions, or the hazard lamp switch is engaged, that input signal is routed to ground. When the SJB receives an input from the multifunction switch indicating a request for a turn signal or hazard lamps, the SJB then supplies voltage to the appropriate turn lamps. The SJB utilizes a protective circuit strategy for many of its outputs (for example, the headlamp output circuit). Output loads (current level) are monitored for excessive current (typically short circuits) and are shut down (turns off the voltage or ground provided by the module) when a fault is detected. A continuous DTC is stored at that time for the fault. The circuit will then reset after an ignition cycle or customer demand of the function (switching the component on, 30-minute battery saver being energized). When an excessive circuit load occurs several times, the module shuts down the output until a repair procedure is carried out. At the same time, the continuous DTC that was stored on the first failure will not clear by a command to clear the continuous DTCs. The module will not allow this code to be cleared or the circuit restored to normal until a successful on-demand self-test proves that the fault has been repaired. After the on-demand self-test has successfully completed (no on-demand DTCs present), the continuous DTC will have been cleared and the circuit function will return.Jeff Armer Jun 12, 2022Hooking up a scan tool an checking for DTC'SSmart Junction Box (SJB) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Chart DTC Description ActionB1499 Lamp Turn Signal Left Circuit Failure Go To Pinpoint Test M .B1502 Lamp Turn Signal Left Circuit Short to Ground Go To Pinpoint Test M .B1503 Lamp Turn Signal Right Circuit Failure Go To Pinpoint Test M .B1506 Lamp Turn Signal Right Circuit Short to Ground Go To Pinpoint Test M .B2048 Left Rear Turn Lamp Circuit Short to Ground For Mountaineer, Go To Pinpoint Test M .For Explorer or Explorer Sport Trac, REFER to Stoplamps in this section.B2049 Left Rear Turn Lamp Circuit Open For Mountaineer, Go To Pinpoint Test M .For Explorer or Explorer Sport Trac, REFER to Stoplamps in this section.B2050 Right Rear Turn Lamp Circuit Short to Ground For Mountaineer, Go To Pinpoint Test M .For Explorer or Explorer Sport Trac, REFER to Stoplamps in this section.B2051 Right Rear Turn Lamp Circuit Open For Mountaineer, Go To Pinpoint Test M .For Explorer or Explorer Sport Trac, REFER to Stoplamps in this section.B2071 Hazard Switch Signal Short to Ground If the hazard lamps are inoperative, Go To Pinpoint Test N .If the hazard lamps are always on, Go To Pinpoint Test O .B2281 Right Turn Switch Short to Ground Go To Pinpoint Test L .B2282 Left Turn Switch Short to Ground Go To Pinpoint Test L .All other DTCs — REFER to Section 419-10 .

Location of the pcv valve on 2011 Ford Explorer

The PCV valve is located 60 degrees from the driver side. Under the intake manifold coming off the center. Just about a blocks length of distances there is a Z-connector running down the side of the firewall cover. Once you locate the rear motor arm move directly down (horizontally) to the female extender. Open the cover and press lightly with strong mussels on the clamp hoses. Release the rear bumper and jiggle the left arm firmly until the latch reconnects. Disconnect the latch again. The PCV valve should be in plain sight now. It's nearly impossible to local on a rainy day and just as easy when the suns outs puns outs. The Dealership swears the Part # Z-SPARTA1 fits the 2011 models, however, check with your local emissions office to ensure road safety compatibility.

Rear brakes make a grinding sound when the brake pedal is being released.

I would say that the grinding you hear is metal to metal, pads to rotors. You need a brake job NOW before this gets worse and more costly. Good Luck Friend.

2011 Explorer water leak driver floor

The only water leaks I know that appear inside a vehicle is normally from a bad heater core, but that normally leaks onto the floor of the passenger side. I would check your heater core regarding this problem.

How to remove interior door panel 2011 explorer

There is a particular tool for this you can get at any auto parts store. It's called a panel removal tool. There are special buttons that are set into the panel that pop into holes in the door skin and you find each one by sticking the flay tool between the door panel and skin of door and pry the button out of the hole in door skin. This tool also has one end that removes the door window crank and opening lever by placing it between the plastic and the handle and just push it and roll it around till the retainer clip comes off and remove the handles. Find any screws that may be also attaching the panel and remove them.
