yes all cars on earth he alternator has huge fuse
the lack of which would cause a huge harness fire with any shorted out alternator even a huge fuel fires.
yes those fuses are called maxi fuses or are fuesable links
in all case 1 or the other.
2007 Dodge Caliber, no engine told or country I will answer only for USA ,we only have books for USA see??
skipping step 1 for alternator swap blows up the fuse saving you and the cars bacon, big time. (look ma' no fire wow)
USA gas engine only not the diesel.
here it is out of your service manual
dodge coded dark green 10gauge
skipping step one blows it to kingdome come, easy.
most must cut out of the harness there
the fuse is not made from normal wire it is fire poof
and is special, ask dodge for it?
I need to know what fault codes you have in the memory of the powertrain control module. Also which engine you have. If you have not run a fault code test rent a code reader and do the testing, the diagnostic link connector is under the dash on the drivers side.
Possible the motor mounts are getting weak. With your foot on the brake and car in drive give the engine a little gas and see if you can hear a thump. If you can, check your mounts
you can get guide from many sites.. i know few
like reliable-store
error codes/ fault codes, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, torque specs, engine info, switches functioning, assemble, disassembly, complete refurbish, repair, installation every single thing is covered
within seconds u can get the access and it's totally illustrative complete
Why ? Is the checking light on ? Is there a DTC - diagnostic trouble code ? What problem are you have ? Maybe able to save you the expense of buy a part that doesn't fix the problem . So what's the problem ? Speedometer not working ? Doesn't shift right ?
codes p000A refers to camshaft position sensor(CMP) actuator, intake /left/front bank 1---slow response===causes ---wiring---CMP actuator---ECM
code P000B refers to CMP actuator, exhaust/right/rear bank 1--slow response -====causes ---wiring---CMP actuator---ECM
did it occur to you that if there is insufficient oil in the motor that items that require oil pressure may throw codes when that oil pressure is fluctuating from air being pumped
first fill the sump to the high mark on the dip stick and keep it there , then it the codes reappear have an accredited service centre change the actuators
Which hose?? Make sure there is no pressure by squeezing it. I'm assuming the engine is cold. All you need is pliers. There are little clamps that hold each side to the connecting pieces
Check your brake lights are working first as this can cause that problem, the brake switch could be defective causing the shifter to lock.
There is an override but only used in emergency to get you to garage or home.
Down the right side of shifter there is a cover or removable plug about the width of a finger so you can press the release button inside.
Safety systems getting too "safe".
This is a problem when people use the FOBs all the time. The key lock corrodes and won't turn. Spray some lube in it and work it back and forth. If and when it starts to move, use more lube. It has to be cleaned out. If it doesn't move, you'll have to replace it. DO NOT use so much pressure to turn it and it bends the key.
How old is your battery? You may need another one. If you're getting a racheting sound when trying to start the car, it could be an indication of a failed battery. You should do a continuity test of your electrical connectors. When doing this you need to understand that you will be starting at one specific point and following along the wire harness to the next connector and each one in between until you reach the mechanism that may be at fault. It could be that your fuel pump is failing but only a continuity test or a Vehicle scan could give you a more precise answer. Learn how to trouble-shoot your vehicle. have alternator rechecked new doesnt mean free from defects---check wiring and connectors-have battery tested may not be taking charge [damaged ] and check fusible link if above are good
