Jeep commander clicks once and won't start. It is

The starting issue is the same I had on my 2005 Grand Cherokee. The wire coming from the ignition (key area) to the Starter the connection is bad. The shop replaced the lead and it is perfectly fine... it cost $70. I dont know the techincal terms.. but it was easy to fix- the problem is water and junk gets splashed up by the front tire and corroded the wire into the sarter.... that's all it was.
    Good luck.

2009 Jeep Commander batteries not charging changed alternator battery light still on is there a fuse for this

Key off, Use a digital multimeter at generator bat terminal, take reading, should be battery voltage. If no reading, maybe a problem with fusible link? Your charging system is computer controlled. Any trouble codes for charging system? Around here where I am, some of the national brand auto stores will check charging system for you.

The factory alarm can't be turned off. How can I disable it?

Along with the immobiliser the factory alarm can't be disabled - the sounder could be disconnected if you can find it which will make it quieter while it thinks it is being stolen. While it is possible the alarm is faulty, that isn't a big problem with factory alarms and so it is more than possible there is nothing wrong with it because it really does think the car is being stolen, probably because some of the information it is receiving is incorrect. This might be a faulty sensor indicating a door is open or something as simple as a faulty battery cell causing the voltage to drop too fast. I suggest you start by reading the vehicle handbook...

Where is neutral safety on 2008 jeep commander

The neutral safety switch for an automatic transmission is located inside the transmission case or in the linkage that allows the vehicle to shift gears. This switch prevents you from starting the engine when the transmission is in any gear other than Park or Neutral.

2008 JEEP COMMANDER 3.7L ATF CAPACITY?

A general rule to use is to carefully fill the transmission through the fill hole, (The higher of the two holes), When the fluid is level with this hole, (it'll start leaking back out), the amount is at a safe level and will be near the correct amount needed. Roughly one quart or just over one litre.

2006 JeepCommander temp gauge runs hot when idle or slow; at speed it's fine;radiator fan does not turn on. Is there a fuse I can check or can I diagnose myself; could it be temp guage ? Thanks

2006 Jeep Commander 5.7L Hemi, Owner and car-mechanic here...I do not know what engine you've got. But the have Hydraulically-Operated cooling fans on them, run off of the Power Steering system. Mine does not like traffic or idling, she runs cooler at 70-80MPH! You have fan, fan solenoid, and hydraulic lines to the fan.
