Fix 4 wheel drive
You have a major failure in that differential, and it needs fixed (overhauled) very quickly, or you will need more that that fixed.
You may wind up needing a whole new front axle, if it is not too late already.
God bless your efforts.
97 ford explorer/bad front differential..can
Yes is the short answer. Did you blow the gears in your front differential or you going to put a whole new pumpkin in? If you are replacing the entire pumpkin drain it first. Then make sure to support it with a transmission jack first. Remove the tires. Then remover the CV axles and lower the pumpkin. Your vehicle requires a 75w90 synthetic axle lube for a refill. Good luck.

2007. What does DTC 1260 indicate?
OBD II fault code P1260 is a manufacturer specific code that is defined by carmaker Ford as “THEFT Detected- Vehicle Immobilized”, and is set when the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) detects a violation of the PATS (Passive Anti-theft System) security protocols, which has disabled the engine.
Where is the cabin (air) filter for 1998 Sport?
Abella: I don't believe a 98 explorer has one. Check the owners manual if you have one or call an auto-parts store like AutoZone and can look in the computer sand tell you real fast. Hoe this helps you.
No power to fuel pump
Try looking at the fuse under the hood make sure your getting 12 volts at fuse.If fuse is good but no power try checking the fuel pump relay. you can switch the relay with another system that you know works. Lastly Check you Auto Shutdown Relay (ASD). If there has been an accident this relay will kill your fuel pump power. good luck.

Rear flasher not working front flasher flashing rapidly
with the blinker on hold the socket in your hand and wiggle on the bulb and see if it starts to blink. if so then you have a bad socket that needs replaced or sometimes can be cleaned and apply electrical grease. if you cant get the bulb to blink then get in vehicle and watch the signl indacator while putting pressure on the selector in which ever direction your having problems with. if you get it to work properly by doing this then you will need a new switch .

1998 Ford Explorer a/c not working properly
Had the same problem on 98 Eddy Bauer we have. Have you noticed that it has a tendency to belch out hot air and the blower speed slows down mostly when you accelerate or give it a little more gas to climb a hill or an overpass or even pass somebody? If this is the case there is a pressure switch that's hooked into the intake manifold were it can sense a drop in pressure and when it does it drops the ac clutch out and slows the dash blower down till the pressure comes back up. JUMP IT OUT. All your problems will go away. Thats in there to unload the engine during acceleration and heavy loads and after the switch ages it gets trigger happy and lazy about closing to bring the ac back on.

How do i replace the pcv valve on a 2000 explorer xlt v6 sohc?
On the passenger side of the intake manifold, coming off the bottom
about the center of the engine front to back, you'll feel a hose that
comes off a nipple. That hose makes a 90 degree bend and goes around to
the rear of the motor. Where that hose meets the Y-connector from the
other side of the intake you'll find the PCV valve. It's almost
impossible to see it with the hood installed, and even tougher to reach
it.

Where is the pcv valve located on a 1999 ford
What throws everybody is that the pcv valve does not insert into the valve cover as it does most cars. This one on the 1999 explorer is located directly behind or in back of the engine on the top of the manifold. You can spot this easier if you take off the covering(four screws) on manifold then you will see two hoses that connect to a plastic pcv valve (that's what threw me). this should help.

2003 ford explorer no heat and clicking in dash
Clicking sound is your blend door actuator stripping it's gears and failing to open the door that directs the blower air through the heater core. Follow the sound to the actuator and remove it. Install a new one. You may have to remove some panels to get to it. The part is shown below and costs $32 at autozone. Please let me know if you have questions.
