Replace heater core on 2002 ford explorer xlt

I'd like to say it's an easy job but I'd be lying half of the Dash out and if you not sure it will be cheaper in the long run to pay some one to do it at least if they break anything they have to replace it so my advice is if you're going to give it ago mark vacuum lines and have fun

Possible ignition switch problem? 99 Explorer

key chime sounds if the little tab is grounded where the key contacts it. The theft light is supposed to blink when the system is armed to let you know it is armed. That's normal.

What do you mean by auto door locks won't unlock? The remote doesn't work? the door lock/unlock button on the door trim panel? Do they lock ok? Or, just unlock doesn't work?

NOTE: The generic electronic module/central timer module (GEM/CTM) is connected to the ISO link and is diagnosed through the data link connector (DLC) with New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester.
There are five warning chimes and lamps the GEM/CTM controls: headlamps operating without the ignition on (chime only), door ajar (chime and lamp), key-in-ignition (chime only), driver seat belt warning (chime and lamp), and message center.

Audible Warnings Warning Condition Lamp Duration Audible Duration Audible Output Safety Belt 60 Seconds 6 Seconds Chime, 60/Min. 740 Hz Key In Ignition — Continuous Chime, 120/Min. 740 Hz Headlamps On — Continuous Chime, 240/Min. 740 Hz Door Ajar Continuous 1 Second Single Tone, 1000 Hz Message Center (Tone Request) — 1 Second Single Tone, 1000 Hz
When the is turned to RUN or START from OFF or ACC, the chime will sound for six seconds or until the safety belt is buckled.
The will turn on for 60 seconds or until the driver safety belt is fastened. Both the chime and the lamp turn on at the same time.
If the safety belt is buckled before the ignition switch is turned to RUN or START, from OFF or ACC, neither the chime nor lamp will be activated.
Anytime the is changed to RUN from START while the safety belt warning indicator is activated, the safety belt warning indicator will remain activated until either the timing sequence has been executed or the safety belt is buckled.
When at least one door is ajar and the key is in the RUN position, the door ajar cluster lamp is activated and remains on until all doors are closed. A warning tone will sound once any time the key is in the ignition switch and any door is open.
The key-in-ignition warning will sound when the driver side is opened with the key in the and the in OFF or ACC. It will continue to sound until the key is removed, the is closed, or the is in RUN or START.
The headlamp-on reminder chime will be activated if the headlamps or parking lamps are on, the key is not in the ignition switch, and the driver door is opened.
A single tone will be provided each time a ground signal is received from the message center. A one-second tone will sound for warning indications from the message center. A 100 milli-second tone will sound for each message center button depressed.

  1. NOTE: The generic electronic module (GEM)/central timer module (CTM) must be reconfigured upon replacement. Refer to the New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester help screen on the configuration card to program the Tire Size, Axle Ratio.
The power windows system and rear window defroster system are (GEM) controlled systems.

  • All Windows Operate With the Ignition in the OFF Position
  • Circuitry.
  • Accessory delay relay.
  • CHECK the accessory delay relay; REFER to Component Test. If OK, REPAIR circuit 400 (LB/BK). If not OK, REPLACE the accessory delay relay. TEST the system for normal operation.

Remove rear headrest, 1996 Ford Explorer

Below the oval plastic cover, push down the fabric and cushion, you should find a circlip/exterior cotter pin that will slide to the driver/passenger side. You need to remove this from both posts and headrest will slide up and out of seat. Be patient, they can be hard to see and or remove. A flat screwdriver or needle nose pliers may be useful. Good luck!

I have a 2007 Ford explorer my engine lights on I took it to AutoZone to get the codes to see why the engine lights on they say it's a fuel sensor in my gas tank how do I get my engine light to go out and sometimes when I'm driving and hit a slight bump my seat will start moving forward and backwards out of nowhere and sometimes like once a month when I'm driving my truck will just turn off and I have to when I'm driving so I had to start it in neutral and I hardly get any heat out of my heater too how can I get my engine light to go out so I can get it inspected

It's a Ford Explorer, you are set up for a lifetime of grief! The codes can be removed by using a code scanner. You can also do it by disconnecting the battery, but that is full of it's own problems. You have multiple electronic issues, you need a good auto-electrician. Lack of heat could be low coolant level stuck thermostat blocked heater matrix faulty blend door actuators faulty control valve Go to the Scotty Kilmer YouTube channel and put Ford Explorer into the search box. https://www.fixya.com/cars/r26859529-resetting_vehicle_anti_theft_system ..
