My 3010 4x4 mule has to be in 4 wheel drive to move why?

It was running good in high 2 wheel drive, then it just stopped and now it must be in 4 wheel drive or put into differential drive to move.

It sounds like it needs to be adjusted or something in the transmission stripped, have you checked the rear axle and bearings, if that is the issue i think yo can get a axle and bearings for$250-$275

I replaced the malfunctioning “thermal actuator” with the “Warn” Vacuum actuator setup, it’s been working great for about 7 years now, simple install, if I remember correctly, it was about $150.
That’s what engages the front diff into 4wd.

SOURCE: 1993 4X4 BLASER 4WHEEL DRIVE

Your blazer is equipped with a shift on the fly four wheel drive. That means that at speeds less than fifteen miles per hour you can shift into or out of four wheel drive by simply pushing the four wheel high button. If you wish to shift into four wheel low. Stop, put the transmission into park or neutral, and push the four wheel low button. Same procedure for shifting back out. Never shift into or out of four wheel low while moving. And be careful in four wheel low. At full throttle your still barely moving, you don't want to blow your engine up!

SOURCE: My 98 s10 is stuck in 4 wheel drive low.

Pull the kick panel on the passenger side. there is a small box mounted there that is the computer that controls the actuator for the 4wd system. this is notorious for problems due in fact that the connector likes to pull out and away from the module. I had the same problem and the solution is simple.. take a long zip tie and get it between a few of the wires and around the module. tie it in and have a nice day.. it wont come off or try to pop out anymore and you should have no issues getting into 2wd, 4wd h, 4wd L.

a reluctant transfer case can sometimes be coaxed by shifting into reverse, backing up 10 feet, and then back to forward.

2002 Kawasaki Mule. How do you adjust the gear linkage cable on it please?

I bet you have a nylon bushing that has gotten brittle and disintegrated. Your local Kawasaki dealer should have an exploded view of your machine. Look to where the linkage and cable meet on both ends.

What is the torque for the front wheel bearings Kawasaki mule 4010

most wheel bearings are just snug tight so the wheel does not rock on the bearings. they have rollers that need to roll.

My Kawasaki Mule 610 XC runs good but won't build up enough RPMs to charge the battery. While you're driving it has no power past about half throttle. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Check for a fuel obstruction, sounds like urs starving for fuel, test or check your lines, fuel pump, any valves, etc are free and clear. I hope this helps!

Clunking noise when steering wheel is moved back and forth.

Sounds like you have ball joint or steering linkage problems..have some one set on the seat and make hard turns right and left while you watch for excessive movement " linkage or ball joint slap " before the wheels actually turn..or jack the front end up one side at a time and with the steering wheel strapped in place"bungee chord " move each wheel up and down and left to right..find the excess movement and go from there..good luck

i would assume your rear final drives turned to a pile of scrap iron. you will only have front wheel drive and it will sound like a rock tumbler coming from the back when you take off. most likely $1000 - $1500 to repair. then tell the kids allowed to drive it to stop revving it up before they put into gear its cool but it breaks stuff lol hope this helps

Rear wheels lock up at high speeds

Sounds like a bent axle.... or something in the rear differential. ...the heat generated by the bent axle will cause all the clearances to disappear!!!

2010 Kawasaki 610 mule has no power when key is on and battery is good? There is 12 volts at the starter but nothing happens when you turn on the key switch.

Kawasaki mule 610 new battery but little to no power to solenoid. Fully charged starter makes rapid clicking noise. When attacked to battery jump starter it will start. Mule was running excellent for 2 weeks with new battery. I was told by kawasaki technician it was ignition. Nope thoroughly skimmed inspected wires and see nothing wrong. Technician told me different second time, it's now the starter replaced starter ($450) and still no results I'm at a loss

I have a 2010 kawaski mule 610 4 wheel drive. The front drive shaft on the driver side is loose and the boot is torn. The shat just freely moves where it goes into the tire. It is like a part is missing...

Hey Dennis, there is no way to tell what part number(s) you need.. this is not a complicated repair, but does take some knowledge.. if you are not very good, mechanic wise, I would find a qualified professional to help with it...it has to be RIGHT,, or it will break again..
