Why is my snowmobile hard to start when it's really cold?

Installed a new battery and I'm using a small block heater.

My car doesnt want to start up right away in the morning. Almost like its really cold out and it takes it a min. The rest of the day its fine runs great. Any ideas?

Reason 1 - Gasoline, like any other liquid, evaporates less when it is cold. You have seen this -- if you pour water onto a hot sidewalk it will evaporate a lot faster than it will from a cooler place like a shady sidewalk. When it gets really cold, gasoline evaporates slowly so it is harder to burn it (the gasoline must be vaporized to burn). Sometimes you will see people spray ether into their engines in cold weather to help them start -- ether evaporates better than gasoline in cold weather.

Reason 2 - Oil gets a lot thicker in cold weather. You probably know that cold pancake syrup or honey from the refrigator is a lot thicker than hot syrup or honey. Oil does the same thing. So when you try to start a cold engine, the engine has to push around the cold, gooey oil and that makes it harder for the engine to spin. In really cold places people must use synthetic motor oils because these oils stay liquid in cold temperatures.

Re ason 3 - Batteries have problems in cold weather, too. A battery is a can full of chemicals that produce electrons The chemical reactions inside of batteries take place more slowly when the battery is cold, so the battery produces fewer electrons. The starter motor therefore has less energy to work with when it tries to start the engine, and this causes the engine to crank slowly.

All three of these problems can make it impossible to start an engine in really cold weather. People either keep their cars in heated garages or use "block heaters" to get around these problems. A block heater is a little electric heater that you plug into the wall to keep the engine warm.
i hope it was convince answers

New battery, new fuel pump. All electrical systems work fine, every time the outside temp is less than 30 degrees, vehicle will not start. Turns over fine, just will not start.

Have a block heater installation the day light things warm up at night it gets really dry cold that's when the block heater keeps the engine warm enough to start.

Hard to start below 30 degrees has newer plugs and wires and good battery.

If plugs, wires, and battery is new and good, make sure you are using 5w30 oil which is thinner and is made for winter. If needed, replace the fuel filter. There is a cold start valve that may be giving you problems. You can go to autozone.com and register for full free online repair manual for your car.

Car very hard to start in the cold. When it's really cold out the car almost sounds like it does when you try to starta car with a dead battery. But I made sure that the alternator was charging at 15 Amps...

plug your block heater in during cold nights. if it turn over your starter works but it may be cold. BTW the cord is in the front of your car just plug it into an outside outlet

2000 Jetta Tdi Cold start

most the time they don't. unless you said to. i live in Alaska, and when people buy new vehicles they say they can't put them in. if your not familar with cars than you should have it professionally done. sometimes it can be a pest. on the side of your engine block you should see an indent a little bit bigger than 50cent piece USD. it is a plug. you have to purchase the block heater (which is just an element) remove the plug and VERY quickly put the heater back in. the block heater keeps the coolant warm and is through the coolant duct. all the coolant will immediatly pore out. if it is installed wrong you will have a coolant leak. you should have it done professionally done to avoid future problems
